Happy Halloween, friends!!  Today is the monthly Glitz Design blog hop, & of course...we are featuring the Raven collection this month!!  The blog hop landed just perfectly on Halloween!

I have a couple of Raven cards to share with you for my projects today.  This first one uses the cute owl from the package of Whatnots, among other Raven goodies! :)

And this one has some cute dancing skeletons on it!!  I giggled when I saw the sentiment those stickers created....& I had to use it on this card!!

So, what would a blog hop be without a list of blogs to hop to?  Here it is!!

I know I can't wait to sit down with a yummy latte & check out what all the amazing designers created this week!

On a more personal note....do you want to see the pumpkins my husband & I carved last night?  We think they turned out pretty nice!
Josh did the Yoda pumpkin (of course....I don't have those mad carving skills), and I did the skull-arita!! :) They called it a Brainy Colada on the template...but I thought my name was better.  So- I changed it.  Lol!

I hope that you have a treat filled Halloween....try to eat some healthy food too!!  Tee hee- I need to tell myself that tip as well! :)

Lawn Fawn "Into the Woods" + Giveaway

October 29, 2013

Happy Tuesday, blog friends!  Today I'm doing something fun & a little different from the norm!  Awhile back I chatted with Kelly from Lawn Fawn if she would be willing to let me do some features on my blog of their newest product, & offer up a giveaway!  She said yes....& here we are!  Today I am going to share some cards I created using the "Into the Woods" collection & some of their fabulous Lawn Cuts!

Up first is this little cutie! I didn't want to snip apart these letter dies, because I love how they look all together like this! I used the Sketch Satuday #282 to get started, & this is what I came up with!
Instructions:
1. Make A2 card from vintage cream cardstock.
2. Cut blue dotted paper slightly smaller.
3. Diecut the letters from brown woodgrain paper, & adhere to the left side of the blue paper.
4. Add the "I love fall" strip across the front, then add the stitching to the card.
5. Adhere the entire paper block to the card front.
6. Cut a banner edge to a paper strip, then adhere below the other strip.
7. Wrap gold flecked twine around the strips, then tuck a fussy cut & stamped arrow into it.
8. Spell out the word "fall" in letter stickers to the top of the arrow.
9. Add three sequin leaves & two flair pieces to the left side of the arrow.
10. Accent the lower right corner with sequins to finish.

For my next card I created a cute little scene using the matching stamp set to the "Into the Woods" collection!  I used the sequins as leaves for the sweet little tree, & adore how it came out!  {The cork letters that I added to the front are from one of my past Studio Calico Project Life kits.}  Check it out!
Instructions:
1. Cut a landscape A2 card from white cardstock.
2. Cut cloud paper slightly smaller, then adhere to the front.
3. Diecut the hills from patterned paper & adhere to the bottom of the card, popping the green up with foam adhesive.
4. Add a hello paper strip to the very bottom of the card.
5. Stamp the tree to kraft cardstock, cut out & adhere to the left side of the card.
6. Add the sequins & diecut leaves to the tree as shown.
7. Stamp the fox to white cardstock & orange striped paper.
8. Cut out, layer together & adhere next to the tree.
9. Diecut the clouds from white cardstock, & adhere to the right side, popping the smaller one with foam adhesive.
10. Add the orange flair to the cloud cluster, then accent with gold jewels.
11. Finish the sentiment with green & cork letter stickers to finish.

My last card for today was inspired by my favorite Christmas movie, "Elf"!  I was trying to think of a unique sentiment for fall, and all I could think of is that fall is my favorite season.  Well, that made me thing of Will Ferrell saying "Smiling's my favorite"....after giggling, I realized this was a perfect sentiment for my card!
Instructions:
1. Cut A2 card from chocolate brown cardstock.
2. Cut cloud paper slightly smaller, round the bottom corners & adhere.
3. Tie gold twne around a 3x4 card, round the bottom corners, then adhere to the front with foam adhesive.
4. Diecut the leaves & letters from patterned papers.
5. Arrange the sentiment on the card using the diecut letters & green letter stickers.
6. Adhere the diecut leaves tucked under the top, & directly to the bottom of the card.
7. Add a blue glittered tab under the left side of the card, then adhere the flair to the top of the leaves.
8. Add a fabric bow, then accent with sequins to finish.

There you have it....some super cute fall cards!  I just adore the great colors of this fall collection, and all the darling little woodland critters included in it!  Like I said above...I also have a generous Lawn Fawn giveaway to share as well!

One lucky winner will receive the "Into the Woods" collection kit!

You have three possible entries into this giveaway:

2. Become a follower of my blog.  Leave me a comment letting me know you are a new or an existing follower.
