New Exclusive Scrapbook.com Die Set by Pinkfresh Studio

July 29, 2020

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! I just wanted to pop in and share that we have designed an exclusive new die set for Scrapbook.com called Thin Words Everyday Script! This is an amazing die set that is perfect for both cardmakers and memorykeepers. We are so happy with how it turned out! We consider our retailers our partners in business, so we love having the chance to create exclusive products for them with our branding and design aesthetic.

"Birthday Wishes" card

This die set pairs perfectly with pretty much all of our products at Pinkfresh Studio! I have paired it with our Pop Out: Diamonds background stamp, and the Simply Diamonds die, plus the Celebrate 6x6 paper pad from our collaboration with Altenew. Here is a list of the main products I've used to create this card. You will find my list of tools & such at the very end of the blog post.

SUPPLY LIST

This card was quite easy to put together, as the background is patterned paper. I diecut the diamond layer from white cardstock first, then stamped the coordinating image to it in Detail Black using my MISTI. I fussy cut the floral cluster from patterned paper. Then diecut the words 3 times: once from champagne glitter paper and twice from leftover scraps of patterned paper. I stacked and glued those layers together with a Zig glue pen.

I mounted everything to the front of an A2 pale rose card base as shown, popping up the diamond layer with foam strips. Then I accented with the Crystals Mix to finish.

I hope you will love the Thin Words Everyday Script die set as much as we do! We think you'll reach for it time & time again. Remember, it is only available at Scrapbook.com! If you have any questions about this card, leave them in the comments and I will be sure to reply.

Before you move along with your day, I wanted to invite you to follow me on social media. I would love to be crafty friends!

Have a great rest of your day!

Cocktail Cards with Alexandra Renke

July 26, 2020

Happy Sunday, crafty friends! Josh and I started Whole 30 when we got home from Montana, because 3 months of quarantine then 3 weeks in Montana with family meant our diet was pretty terrible. The basis of Whole 30 is basically cutting down to only eating proteins, veggies, fruits and healthy fats. And I'm going to be real with you...we feel SO much better. I highly recommend doing this if you are just not feeling healthy and your body needs a reset. It's also about eliminating foods that cause inflammation within your body, and as you slowly reintroduce items back into your system...you can see how your body reacts. It's a true litmus test for food allergies that don't cause an anaphylactic reaction.

I don't miss much, but I do miss two things. My sweetened coffee in the morning, and having cocktails with Josh on the weekend. Lol! Those are things I am going to allow back into my life after we are done with Whole 30, but for the most part, we will be adopting Whole 30 as a lifestyle change. We plan on allowing cocktails on Friday & Saturday nights, but I'll probably make mine a bit less sweet. I'm also going to try out some paleo options for sweetening my coffee in the mornings, and found a great recipe for a homemade pumpkin spice latte. I'll let you know what I think in about a month. Lol! So, in honor of all the cocktails I am missing out on right now...I created a couple of cards with some beautiful Alexandra Renke products and dies from Pinkfresh Studio & MFT Stamps.

"Cheers" Cocktail Card Set
I love doing slimline cards with Alexandra's papers because it allows me showcase all of the gorgeous elements that she adds to her papers. I wasn't able to source these papers in the US, so the links below are all to her online shop in Germany. Be sure to continue to ask your favorite American retailers to carry her products!

SUPPLY LIST

These aren't really technique driven cards by any means. I did some fussy cutting from the papers linked above, and I did some diecutting for the sentiments, and that adorable drink cart on the second card.

I REALLY want a copper drink cart in my house - it's on the list. I think that is probably why I reached for the copper foiled paper on this one. :)

I arranged the fussy cut drinks on the slimline card in rainbow order because, well...rainbows. Lol! It was just the proper thing to do in my brain. Both cards are also accented with iridescent jewels as a finishing touch.

As you can see, I reach for my Pinkfresh Studio Essentials dies on pretty much all of my cards. Most Essentials (Slim Cuts aren't included...sorry!) are on sale this weekend, so definitely grab your favorites at 15% savings! You've got through tonight at 11:59pm CST, and the code is ESS15. If you have any questions about this card, leave them in the comments and I will be sure to reply.

"I love you Handsome" card

I don't make masculine cards very often, but I love how this one turned out! I love that we included the word "handsome" in our Phrase Builder: Hello die set, and that is how this card came to be. Here is a list of the stamps, dies, ink & jewels I've used to create this card. You will find my list of tools & such at the very end of the blog post.

SUPPLY LIST

The steps to creating this card are quite easy! I stamped the chevron background with our handy Pop Out Nested Chevron background stamp in the ink colors linked above, which includes all the layers cut apart for easy multi-color stamping. I left out one of the layers to leave room for the sentiment, then diecut it it with the Ornate Banner die set. I also created a matching blue frame with the same die set and layered it to the front.

The diecut word is cut from gold foil paper, then stacked with a couple layers cut from white cardstock. I diecut the shadow layer from vellum, and adhered them all together. Then I layered it at an angle within the open spot in the chevron background. Using my MISTI, I stamped the first part of the sentiment from our Simply Sentiments: Hello stamp set in Detail Black ink.  I mounted the entire chevron piece to an A2 gold card base, then accented with our Jewels Mix to finish.

I reach for our Essentials die sets for pretty much every single card that I create, whether it is a Pinkfresh Studio card or not. They are affordable, versatile, and they were designed to give you those beautiful edges and finishing touches that only a die can provide. Definitely grab your favorites at 15% savings this weekend! (I do apologize that the set I'm using on this card is sold out. Be sure to sign up for a restock notification if you are interested in it. Never fear though, because there are lots of other amazing Essentials that are part of the sale!) If you have any questions about this card, leave them in the comments and I will be sure to reply.

The Stamping Village "We Stand With You" Collaboration

July 23, 2020

Hi crafty friends! Just popping in to share a couple cards I have made with the latest collaboration stamp set from The Stamping Village called We Stand With You! There is an Instagram hop going on as well. There will be 4 prizes valued at $150, so definitely worth it to check it out. You might also find some new crafters to follow as you hop along!

We Stand With You was designed by 12 members of The Stamping Village, including sentiments & images about inclusion, love, kindness and doing the right thing. There is truly something for everyone in this stamp set, and we think you will reach for it time and time again! 100% of the net profits of this stamp set will be donated to the NAACP.

I chose a rainbow color theme for my first card, because well...rainbows. Lol! The background paper is from our Let's Stay Home 6x6 paper pad, and I ink blended the rainbow stripes with our inks colors that matched best. I also embellished it with one of the Fabric Bows from the Let's Stay Home collection as well.

INK COLORS:

Here are a couple of close up shots of my first card. This sentiment is the Pinkfresh Studio contribution to the collaboration stamp set, and the little brush swash is part of it too!

For my second card, I ink blended the rainbow strips in all different skin tones, because I do believe that we are called to love all people. No matter what. This sentiment is Concord & 9th's contribution to the set, along with the heart.

INK COLORS:

Here are some details shots of my second card.

Our high quality premium dye inks made ink blending these cards super easy! If you have any questions about this card, leave them in the comments and I will be sure to reply.

15% off clear Floral Stamps & Coordinating Dies at Pinkfresh Studio

July 18, 2020

Happy Saturday, crafty friends! I know it's been super quiet around here. We spent three weeks in Montana with family that was much needed, and since returning we've been catching up on work, life, and dealing with the finish of our bathroom remodel. So, not a lot of time to share crafty creations.

I did want to pop in today and mention that we are having a sale on our clear floral stamps & coordinating dies this weekend at Pinkfresh Studio! You just have to use the code 15FLORAL upon checkout, which is valid until tomorrow night (July 19th @ 11:59pm CST). SHOP HERE!

The day after we got home from Montana, I had to do a few demo sessions for Hochanda in the UK via Skype. This is one of the cards that I did in my demo! I did add another stamped flower and some jewels after the demo session to make it a little more "Lea style". Lol! Even though these are brand new stamps, we did decide to include them in the sale, so they are eligible for the 15% off this weekend. :)

I started the card by stamping the Pop Out Background: Straight Stripes in all 4 shades of our pink inks: Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Bubblegum, & Raspberry Bliss. Once stamped, I diecut it into a panel using the largest die from Essentials: Stitched Rectangles. I popped it onto an A2 pink cardbase with a full panel of foam adhesive.

Next I stamped the Celebrate Us florals twice in the same pink ink as above. I used our amazing hybrid Detail Black ink for the outline, the leaves are stamped in Fresh Pear & Grassy Knoll, and the flower centers are stamped in Lemon Whip & Sweet Mustard. I diecut the florals with the Celebrate Us coordinating dies, then also cut the word die 3 times: once from champagne glitter paper, and twice from white cardstock. I diecut the shadow layer from vellum, then stacked all the layers together. I diecut two nested labels from our Essentials: Fancy Label Frames, and then stamped the rest of the sentiment from Celebrate Us using the diecut word as a guide.

I arranged all those details to the card front, popping up the white layer of the sentiment label. Finally, I added trios of our Essentials; Jewels Mix as a finishing touch.

This card has a few steps to it, but it was super easy to put together. Our high quality premium dye inks make it super simple as I only needed to stamp it once to get a perfect impression. If you have any questions about this card, leave them in the comments and I will be sure to reply.
