Hey there, blog friends! Holy cow....it's been quite a week!! And let's just keep it at that....lol. I teased an accordion mini album earlier this week that I made for the Glitz blog, and today it is up in its entirety! So, I wanted to share it here as well! And don't forget to read to the end of the post...I have a giveaway up for grabs!
I created this accordion mini album for my husband, as we celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary last weekend! I included 13 photos of us…one from our wedding day, and 1 from each of the 12 years we’ve been married (which means there are 2 from 2002). I wanted it to match the decor in our home so we could display it this year….so I used the 77 collection for my mini album! My home is decorated in aqua, coral & burlap browns…so 77 was the perfect fit!
This also fits A Blog Named Hero challenge #45 to create something other than a card!! Such perfect timing for this challenge!! :)
To create the accordion album, cut a 12×12 sheet of white cardstock
into three 4×12 strips. Score each strip at 3 inch intervals. Fold
each strip into an accordion and then adhere them together into one long
strip. This gave me 10 pages one each side, which allowed for me to
decorate it with scrapbooking supplies & my photos!
It was a lot of fun to look through 12 years of photographs and pick a favorite from each year. I tried to use photos to capture all the different things that have been part of our life so far- Salt Lake City (the first place we lived together), Montana, vacations & travels, my brother’s high school football career, Fargo…a little bit of everything. My husband really liked his gift, and it gave us a moment to reflect on these past years.

Hey there, blog friends! Yep- another post within the same 24 hour period!! Craziness, I tell you! This post is mostly just to announce a couple things. Before I get started, if you are here from the Lil Inker Designs June blog hop, CLICK HERE or just scroll down past this post to get to my post!
First off..I have a couple of things to share from Glitz Design! We are back this month with our monthly project challenge....and I am the designer that is issuing the challenge! We've made some changes and the challenge is no longer based on a weekly theme...but just one theme for the entire month! A lot simpler, for sure!
This is a little 3x4 mini accordian album that I made for my husband for our anniversary this past weekend! I will be sharing all the details of this album on the Glitz blog & here this coming Saturday...so be sure to check back!
There are lots of ways you can participate in this challenge. Here are some other possible ideas:
