Good morning, friends and Happy Tuesday!  I hope that you had a good day yesterday!  We went to the Imagine Dragons concert last night...and it was AMAZING!  But why, oh why, are concerts always on work nights?!  I am SO tired.  But, it was totally worth it!

We are on day 7 of my crafty comeback party, and today is all about Lawn Fawn!  I have known Kelly forever - since Lawn Fawn was a relatively new company.  Kelly has always been generous and sincere and loving - and I credit that for what a success Lawn Fawn is today!  I am so thankful that she joined along with my comeback party, and I had SO much fun creating with some of their latest goodies!

I focused on Thanksgiving for my cards today, and I LOVE how they turned out!  They are centered mostly around diecutting, and seriously friends....Lawn Fawn has some of the most AMAZING dies.  I think you NEED them.  Lol!  You have a chance to win one of 2 gift certificates, so be sure to read the full post!

Hi blog friends!!  How have you been?  I've been really good, other than coming down with a really horrid head cold that reared it's ugly self in full force when I woke up on Monday morning.  Blech.  I spent the weekend in Minneapolis at an Oula Training Weekend.  Oula is a fitness program that we call "dancemania for the soul".  It was started in my hometown of Missoula, Montana, and I did it religiously for two years before we moved away.  I MISS it so much, and what it does for my body & my soul...so I've decided that I really want to bring it to Fargo.  The weekend was SUPER overwhelming.  I've got no experience being a group fitness instructor.  So, while the choreography comes really easy to me...trying to cue & lead people to follow me does NOT.  Lol.  I've got a journey ahead of me that is going to be difficult at times, but I am excited for it...and I know I can do it!!

It is time for another challenge at The Card Concept!!  Here is the challenge graphic:

I was inspired by the muted colors (especially the silver/grey) & the woodgrain in the inspiration photo.  Here is how my card turned out!

Creation Instructions:

1. Make A2 card from white cardstock.
2. Cut woodgrain paper slightly smaller.
3. Add a strip of silver dotted vellum to the middle of the woodgrain paper.
4. Diecut hearts from pink, grey & woodgrain papers.
5. Arrange them in rows to the vellum strip, then lightly adhere them.
6. Stitch down the middle of each row of hearts.
7. Adhere the entire paper block to the card front.
8. Give the hearts some dimension by pulling up each side.
9. Diecut the tag from vellum.
10. Stamp the sentiment in embossing ink, cover in silver glitter embossing powder & heat set.
11. Adhere to the bottom of the card over top of some of the hearts.
12. Embellish with wood & enamel dots to finish.

For my first card I combined the new Sugar Rush stamp set with previously released The Big, the Bold and the Extras to create a beautiful wedding card.  Check it out!
I layered & layered & layered a little bit more...and then added some watercolor.  This style of card is my bread & butter...just pulling together item after item until it all just fits.

Creation Instructions:

1. Make A2 card from cashmere cardstock.
2. Trim a block of mint striped paper & adhere to the front.
3. Layer a gold doily to the top of it.
4. Cut strips of pink striped paper & gold dotted vellum, then adhere at slight angles to the card front.
5. Trim a block of art paper, then stamp & heat emboss the cake stand using gold glitter embossing powder.
6. Stamp & heart emboss the cake to the top of the cake stand using white embossing powder.
7. Watercolor the cake, then set aside to dry.
8. In the mean time, stamp the banner & sentiment to white cardstock.
9. Layer the dry watercolor block to the card front with a knot of gold thread & a strip of mint lace.
10. Adhere the banner to the bottom of the watercolor block with foam dots.
11. Embellish the card with pearls to finish. 

For my next card, I've used the Sparkle stamp set along with some bokeh patterned vellum & a little watercolor splatter.  This card ALSO makes my heart go pitter patter a little bit. :)
Being a photographer, all of the amazing bokeh printed papers just speak to my heart...I purchase them everytime I see them.  And then I hoard them.  Lol!  I've decided I've GOT to use them on some projects, and not just tuck them away in my Scrapbox, petting them occasionally when I take them out.  {#kiddingnotkidding}

Creation Instruction:

1. Make A2 card from white cardstock.
2. Trim two vellum blocks & layer them together.
3. Splatter the vellum block with black watercolor & let dry.
4. Stamp & heat emboss the sparkling circles to the front using gold glitter embossing powder,
5. Stitch two intersecting lines through the embossed sparkling circles, then adhere the vellum blocks to the card front.
6. Stamp the sentiment to a white cardstock strip, then trim in an arrow shape.
7. Layer the sentiment arrow to the card front with a knot of gold thread.
8. Embellish with two pearl & jewel flourishes to finish.
