Prima + Leeza Gibbons Wishes & Dreams

January 9, 2013

Happy Wednesday, everyone!!  How has the first part of your week been?  Just busy here....trying to get everything finished and sent off for CHA!  I think I am finally on the upswing of this cold.  I still have a pretty nasty cough, but my head doesn't feel like it is going to explode any longer, and what felt like a 30 pound weight has lightened from my chest. Man- that was a bad one!!

Today I have some projects to share with you using a special collection that has been in the works with Prima & Leeza Gibbons.  The line is called Wishes & Dreams, and it is a dream of Leeza's that has come to fruition!  Here is a peek at the first part of the collection:
Leeza created a really heartfelt video about this new collection, and her feelings on it, scrapbooking and keeping memories in general.  It is a bit long, but I enjoyed watching it.

I have a card and a tag to share with you today using some of the products from the Turquoise Wishes & Dreams collection.  Prima & Leeza have made it very easy to create cards & tags using this product line, and I know you are going to just love the theme of it.  Here are the projects I created!
There are a ton of amazing projects on the Wishes & Dreams Blog Post today, so be sure to head on over and check them out!  I think you will just love this collection, and how versatile it is.  It will work for the most simple crafter, to the most artistic.

Challenges:
-Allsorts #188 - CAS
-Loves Rubberstamps #34 - Dies or Punchies
-Party Time Tuesday #102 - Sparkle, Glitter & Shine
-Little Red Wagon #167 - Bling
-Crafty Creations #204 - Something New

Because this product is brand new and not available in stores yet, I won't be adding a supply list until later.  Thank you for your patience!

Prima is giving away some pieces to this collection on the blog post today, and there are multiple ways to win... so be sure to check it out!

Until later,

To My Best Bud on Valentine's Day

January 8, 2013

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  Did you have a good weekend?  My parents came over and helped us put up & break down my wedding fair booth.  The wedding fair was on Sunday afternoon, and now it is just a wait & see type of thing to know it if was effective.  All the while I have still been battling this horrid head cold, and I am just waiting for it to run its course and go away.  Blech.

Today I have my card to share with you for my guest design spot at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday!  This week's challenge is the theme of "new", which can be interpreted as you see fit.  Well, I used a new to me Flourishes stamps called "Heartlines" that I've always wanted, and finally had the chance to get...plus, this is also a peek at some more brand new, not released yet Prima product from a collection called "Divine".  Here is what I created!
Instructions:
1. Make A2 card from cream cardstock.
2. Cut floral paper slightly smaller, then adhere.
3. Cut two strips of patterned paper, and layer to the left side of the card, then add two washi strips.
4. Wrap crochet trim around the top and add a matching bow.
5. Stamp a frame to patterned paper, cut out and adhere to the right of the bow.
6. Layer flowers to the top of the frame.
7. Stamp the sentiment to the lower right corner of the card.
8. Add a strip of jewels to the left of the sentiment to finish.

Challenges:
-Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #202 - New

Prima's New "Hello Pastel" collection

January 4, 2013

Happy Friday, all!  How has your week been?  Mine has been busy as I've prepped samples for CHA, and have been getting ready for a wedding fair that is this weekend.  To top it all off, I caught a pretty craptastic head/chest cold....and I am just hoping that it passes enough before Sunday when I have to talk to hundreds of wedding planning brides.  :)

Today I have one of my CHA samples to share with you, as it went up on the Prima CHA Sneak Peek blog post this morning.  My card includes product from the new "Hello Pastel" collection, and Say It In Crystals.  Here is a look at these two collections!

I am seriously in LOVE with the Hello Pastel collection!  It has beautiful spring colors, trendy patterns, and the matching stickers are just perfect for card makers!  I also used the hexagon Say It In Crystals on my card....which just made it all the more trendy!  Tee hee!  Here is what I created!
Instructions:
1. Make a 5" square card from white cardstock.
2. Cut grey polka dot paper slightly smaller and adhere.
3. Cut a block of aqua chevron paper, round the right corners & adhere to the right side.
4. Cut a strip of floral paper and adhere to the left of the chevron paper block.
5. Layer a striped banner sticker & a hexagon jewel to the top of the card.
6. Tie a double bow from twine, then adhere with a metal trinket & pink jewel to the top of the striped banner.
7. Layer two flowers to the lower right corner of the chevron block, then add the sentiment sticker over top of them.
8. Accent the sentiment with a pink jewel, then add a pearl flourish underneath it to finish.

Challenges:
-Retro Sketches #44
-Moxie Fab World "Sweet Dreams" Tuesday Trigger - Inspiration Photo
-Simon Say Stamp challenge - Something New
-Inky Impressions #91 - Anything Goes

I would love to hear what you think of the new "Hello Pastel" collection from Prima...I *think* it might be my favorite from this release.  Not sure though....I seem to say that with every collection as I start to create with it.  Tee hee!

As part of the CHA excitement, Prima wants YOU to be able to get your hands on our new releases FIRST...so they will be giving TONS of new products away.
