This is day 1 of the Blossoms & Butterflies Blog Hop, and we've got quite the lineup for you! I will put all of the blog hop details at the end of my post, but how about we get to my cards first? I've got a fun rainbow colored card for you today, using the new Outline Butterflies background stamp, along with Tiny Words Encouragement. I've paired them with the You've Got This die from the Diecember release, which I didn't get a chance to use then. It pairs perfectly with this new Tiny Words stamp set!

I started by heat embossing the Outline Butterflies in WOW white embossing powder to a panel of heavyweight white cardstock. I taped the heat embossed panel to my Waffleflower Water Media Mat, then added a generous water wash to it. Then I used my drop & spray technique with Pinkfresh Studio liquid watercolor to create my rainbow background. It's a super fun & easy technique that works perfectly with background stamps like this one! I heat set the panel, then spritzed it down with shimmer spray.

Next I diecut the word die from heavyweight white cardstock three times, and adhered them together with a Zig glue pen. Then I stamped the Tiny Words Encouragement sentiment to white cardstock in onyx black Versafine, trimmed into a thin strip and added banner edges to it.

At this point I layered all the elements to the front of a white A2 card base, using foam adhesive on the rainbow panel. I splattered the front with titanium white paint, then finished by accenting with my signature trios of jewels.

I've created a set of cards using these amazing new dies combined with one of our newest paper collections, Joyful Day. These dies are perfect for scrapbooking style and stamping style....I think you are going to just LOVE having them in your collection. This first card features the Pretty Frames & Classic Words die set.

This card features the Braided Ovals and Classic Words die sets - aren't these ovals super fun? I just love the braided design that we've added to edges of each one, and the size fits perfectly into an A2 card base. I also diecut the background with the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles.

This card features the new Inverted Stitched Scallop Circles die set. I used the smaller circle for this card without the die that cuts the full circle. What I love about a lot of our Essentials sets is that we include additional dies to be able to create frames, shakers, etc. You will just love them!

This card features the Classic Edgers diecut set, which is SO fun! I've only used one of the edge designs on my card today, but I can't wait to create some cards with the 4 other designs. 

This final card features the Stitched Rectangles die set. It includes 4 different dies so that you can create full panels, or frames.

I've done all my stamping & watercolor/watercolor smooshing using the same inks (linked below) so all the colors would coordinate. I've just been loving the combo of pink, blue & yellow - it feels so springy!

 I also added pops of gold to each card, either by heat embossing or in the form of gold glitter paper. I'm a huge gold fan, and I add a touch of it to most of my cards! And if you know anything about me, you know that I LOVE dimension - so I popped a lot of my layers up with foam adhesive.

I've used my favorite Arches watercolor paper for all of these cards. It's not bright white, so instead I've used colorful card bases in place of my usual white.  I hope that you like my cards for today!

Happy Sunday! Just popping in today to share a simple card set that I made over the weekend. If you hadn't heard yet, Josh and I became licensed foster parents last November and on February 15th, we got our first placement. Two girls - a 13 month old, and her 6 week old preemie sister that was discharged from the NICU to us. Needless to say...life around here has been chaotic, and super busy. So, I don't have a lot of extra crafty time right now. And that is where these gorgeous papers & dies from Alexandra Renke come into play!

These cards took me less then an hour to put together, and now I have two gorgeous baby cards ready for the next time I need one. The cutie angel dies were actually from Alexandra's Christmas release, but I thought they would be perfect for baby cards!

To start I did all the diecutting. I diecut the angels three times: one from gold glitter paper and twice from white cardstock. Then I diecut the sentiments from white cardstock three times. I stacked and adhered them together with a Zig 2-way glue pen.

Then I cut the backgrounds from two sheets of gorgeous Alexandra Renke patterned paper, aptly named "Baby's Breath" and "Baby's Breath Rose". I adhered them to the front of A2 white card bases with full sheets of foam adhesive to give the card some dimension.

Finally I adhered the diecut angels & sentiments to each card front, then accented with matching pearls & small jewels. Super easy, and super pretty.
