Happy Thursday, friends! Welcome to day 3 of my Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Card Series on my blog this week. Still sick & sounding terrible - but I did actually drive to Target today to get more cough medicine. So you know...I've got that going for me. ;)
As I mentioned in the previous days, I have one HUGE giveaway for the entire week. So, I will be giving you that info each day!
GIVEAWAY
This is over $300 in Pinkfresh Studio goodies - some that have been
gently used, but all of it in perfect condition. I am currently in the
middle of overhauling my crafting area to make it more efficient. By
choice we live in a small home, thus my crafting area isn't huge either.
This change in my area is actually going to give me less storage, but
more efficiency - which is NEEDED. With that being said, all of the
items above have retired from Pinkfresh Studio. And while they are still
amazing products, my schedule does not allow for creating with items
that are retired. So my busyness is your gain...lol!
You can gain one extra entry by following me on Instagram, and/or subscribing to my YouTube channel. Leave one comment if you do either, or both. Please - only ONE extra comment. I will post the winner on my GIVEAWAY PAGE on Sunday, November 11th by 2pm CST.
This giveaway is open to all, BUT...if you are international I will ask that you pay for the additional shipping charges required. I will be sending this entire shipment in a flat rate Priority Mail box, and I am willing to pay what the shipping charge is in the US. By commenting as an Int'l friend, you are telling me that you are willing to pay for the extra shipping via PayPal. Thank you for understanding - Int'l shipping is very expensive, but I still wanted to keep this giveaway open to all. This is the only way I can make that happen.
You might be asking - why not spread the wealth each day? Well, friends...shipping is expensive, even within the US. Plus my schedule is super busy, and it is just easier for me to pick one winner for it all. Feel free to share the love if you are the winner!
So how about we get to my card for today? As you saw above, there are actually two cards. I'm going to start with the holiday card, considering this is a holiday card series. But, I will add the everyday card at the end as well! Today I am using the CityScape die, which coordinates with both Home for the Holidays & A Day in the City stamp sets!
To start I created a galaxy background using our liquid watercolor in bubblegum, lavender & licorice. Once it was dry I sprayed it down with shimmer spray. Once that dried, I finished by adding some white & gold paint splatters to the front.
Next I diecut the CityScape die from white cardstock, then proceeded to stamp & heat emboss the holiday scene and sentiment to the front. I used both onyx black Versafine & gold glitter embossing powder. Once complete, I mounted both the galaxy & CityScape backgrounds to the front of an A2 card base using foam adhesive.
Finally, I accented with my signature jewels tucked here & there.
Up next is an extra treat - the everyday card! The first thing I did was diecut another CityScape background, and placed it over top of an A2 sized cardstock panel. I arranged the clouds to the background, then heat embossed them in white. Then I created a sky using my sky blue liquid watercolor. I set that aside to dry, then proceeded to stamp the scene to the front of the CityScape cut using onyx black Versafine.
Then I colored in the rest of the scene with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, using small amounts of water to push the color around a little bit & add some basic shading. With both layers finished, I adhered them to the top of a white A2 card base, popping up just the CityScape layer with foam adhesive.
And finally, I accented the card front with jewels here & there, including adding some as apples to the tree! So cute!
That is what I have for you today! You can shop for all of the Pinkfresh Studio Holidays Stamps & Dies here! This is such a fun set, and I love all the possibilities it has! Be sure to check back tomorrow at
noon CST for day 5 of my Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Cards series! Have a
wonderful rest of your Thursday!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card - now I feel the need to try the Pinkfresh watercolors!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better soon! Beautiful cards and amazing watercoloring. The background on the first is especially stunning.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards again today! I love the gorgeous background on the Christmas card and how you left the stamped image uncolored. They compliment each other beautifully. I like that the Cityscape die can be used with more than one stamp set. It always helps to stretch that crafting dollar.
ReplyDeleteThose brightly coloured homes on the birthday card are so celebratory and fun, Lea ... they're all dressed up to party! What a gorgeous background sky on your Christmas card ... love how the twinkly gold embossed sentiment brings out the gold splatters on it ... and how leaving the homes uncoloured really allows it to shine! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute set of cards. It's nice to see how the die lends itself to more than one occasion. I love the background on the first card too. I just got the full set of these watercolors so I will have to try it. Hope you start feeling better soon.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful shaker card! I love the blend of colors for the sky.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and cute, Love the backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteI love the galaxy background! It’s perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love the attention to detail that Pinkfresh puts into its stamp/die combos. The fact that one die can take care of two different sets of stamps is fabulous, and that it adds this extra dimension to a scene is just lovely. Honestly, you used it so well that I literally didn't notice that you hadn't colored in the buildings when I first saw the first card. Just blew right past it, because it felt so complete. That's some impressive material/designer synergy.
ReplyDeleteAnd, as mentioned, I follow on both instagram and youtube.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful cards ! Nice to see both versions. The night sky on your fist one is absolutely gorgeous ... I need to give a try with these colours ...
ReplyDeleteSuch a smart design this stamp with coordination die! That night sky on your first card is so beautiful. Love how it peeks throught but is also visible on the borders...
ReplyDeleteLea, your galaxy background/border is absolutely cosmic! Great birthday card also. Thinking I need to add that die to my ever-growing collection. Thanks for inspiring me with your creativity.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are STUNNING!! I love the background sky on your first one. SO COOL!! Love the second one with all the fun coloring. I like that you made two completely different style cards with the same stamp set. So clever!!
ReplyDeleteI love these two stamps and the die, so many possibilities come to mind with them for all year card making. Thanks for the inspiration with both of your cards today, I can't wait to get this set. (mardy14@bellsouth.net)
