Catherine Pooler - "Adoring You" Stamp of Approval Blog Hop

January 7, 2019

Happy Monday, crafty friends! Today I am really excited to be a guest for Catherine Pooler's "Adoring You" Stamp of Approval box!
https://www.catherinepooler.com/stampofapproval/?aff=70

If you aren't familiar, the SOA box is a curated collection of stamps & dies. This month's SOA theme is called Adoring You, and it is chalk full of goodness! It is important to know that this is an exclusive collection, the products were designed FOR the box, they are brand new, and they won't be available again for many months. So be sure to sign up for the wait list if you want to be notified when the SOA box is available! They do sell out quickly, so it is worth it to sign up. You can find all the info you need HERE.:)

I have created a card set for you today, focusing solely on the Happy Together stamp set from the SOA box. This set includes beautiful layering birds & florals, along with some really sweet sentiments! I've created a matching card set, but added one additional step to the second card that gave it a little extra something...glitter! I know not everyone loves glitter, but I surely do!

I'm happy to say that after a long pause, I have a video for this card set! You can watch it below, or in HD HERE.

I hope that you enjoyed today's video, and I would love for you to give it a thumbs up if you did, and subscribe to my channel if you don't already - just hover over my image up there in the corner! YouTube is a big focus for me this year, and my goal is to upload a new video at least every two weeks!

I know that not everyone loves to watch videos, so I will still do a write-up here on my blog for all of my cards. To start these cards, I stamped the bird backgrounds in a rainbow of colors. I used Catherine Pooler inks exclusively on this card, and I will link all the colors that I've used below, but there are too many to name here. I'm now reliant on my stamping platform, but if you are good at lining layers up then you can absolutely use a clear block to stamp all your birds...and it will likely go quicker as well!

Once all the birds are stamped, I filled in the holes by stamping hearts here & there in matching ink colors. With the background stamping finished, I set those aside and focused on the sentiment. I stamped & heat embossed the sentiment in white to 2 strips of vellum.

Next I took one of the bird stamped backgrounds, and sprayed an even layer of adhesive over top of it. Then I just poured prisma glitter over top of the entire background, then tapped the back of it to get as much excess glitter off as possible. I LOVE how this looks, but I know not everyone loves glitter. That is why I did it as the second card, but left one so you could see how great it still is without the glitter! I do want to mention that you shouldn't send glittery cards to our military troops overseas, nor to households with medically fragile babies/kids/persons...especially those on any type of oxygen. And many card drive organizations ask that you don't send them, so be sure to give glittery cards only to people you know will appreciate them! :)

At this point it was time to put the card together. I wrapped the vellum sentiment strips around the top of each bird background, then adhered them to the front of a white A2 card base. Then I accented around the sentiment with jewels to finish.

Those are my cards for the Adoring You Stamp of Approval blog hop! I hope that you enjoyed them! Before I get to the rest of the info you need, I did want to invite you to hang out with me on my social media channels if you don't already.

I would love to be crafty friends! Okay, now let's get to the rest of this blog hop info you need!

  9. I feel bad because I don't often
watch the videos. I know y'all
put a lot of effort into them but
