Happy Valentine's Day, crafty friends! Today is day 4 of Sweet Peek Week for SugarPea Designs, and we are revealing adorable products from the Spring release all week long!
I will get all the blog hop info to you below, but how about we get to my card first? So, today I have an Easter themed card set for you using the new Easter Wishes stamp set, Easter word die, and Egg Cut-Away Window. I love the this beautiful scripted font! I've used it in both diecut & stamping form, and it doesn't disappoint!
To start, I ink blended a panel of 130 LB cougar white cardstock in Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inks. Then I spritzed the panel down with shimmer spray, and flicked white paint splatters to the front. I set this aside to dry, and proceeded to do all the diecutting.
I diecut the word Easter & the bunny three times each; once from gold glitter paper and twice from cougar white cardstock. I stacked & adhered them together for added sturdiness and dimension. At this point the ink blended panel was dry, and I diecut the Egg cut away from the middle of it.
Then I did all the stamping & heat embossing for each card. The first part of the sentiment on the shaker card was stamped to white cardstock in onyx black Versafine ink, then trimmed into a thin strip. The sentiment for the other card was stamped & heat embossed directly to the bottom of the A2 card base.
Then I put the shaker card together, filling it with a sequin mix, clear jewels and matching pearls. Because these items are a bit bulkier than a sequin mix, I added two layers of foam tape to the back to make sure they would still shake. I arranged the sentiment to the front, then accented the front with some of the same clear jewels inside of the shaker.
Next I took the inside egg layer, and mounted it to the front of the stamped & heat embossed card base with foam tape. I covered the sentiments, then splattered it with some gold paint and let it set. Then I mounted the bunny to the middle of the egg with foam tape as well. I finished this card my accenting with my signature iridescent jewels.
That is all I have for Day 4 of Sweet Peek Week! These adorable stamps, dies & stencil will go live in the SugarPea Designs shop on Friday at 6pm EST.
