Lil' Inker Designs June Release Day 1

June 1, 2014

Hey there, friends!!  I hope this post finds you having had a great weekend!!  Ours was fabulous!  Our 12th anniversary was on Sunday, but we celebrated just the two of us on Saturday night.  We went to our favorite restaurant in Fargo, the HoDo, and did their 5 course tasting menu, which ended up being 6 by the end.  It was scrumptious and amazing, and I had quite a few things I've never tasted before.  There was only on course I could have done without, and it wasn't really an important one anyways. :)  On Sunday we went out to lunch with our neighbors & a group of their friends to celebrate a birthday, and then had them over for dinner...pizza smoked & baked on the Traeger, and they brought chicken wings.  All in all...it was a great weekend!

In other news, I've been asked to be on the Lil Inker Designs creative team, and today is my first post with them!  I am jumping right in with the June release!

There are three new stamps sets, and six new dies for this release, and I think you are really going to love all of them!!  For today's card I've used the Piece of Me stamps, Piece of Me dies, & Scattered Sequins die.  I've paired them with the Glitz Design "77" collection...and I just love how it turned out!  I was totally inspired by something I saw on Pinterest for this card, and it turned out exactly as I wanted it.
Instructions to recreate:
1. Make A2 card from white cardstock.
2. Diecut puzzle pieces from patterned paper, & sequins from gold glittered paper.
3. Cut a block of patterned paper slightly smaller than the card, then arrange the diecuts on top.
4. Cut a same size block of vellum, add the letter stickers & stitch.
5. Layer the two blocks together to the card front at slight angles, then top with the remaining diecut sequins.
6. Cut a slightly smaller block of white cardstock, and print the top part of the inside sentiment to it.
7. Add the heart sticker, then stamp the bottom part of the sentiment to it.
8. Stitch across the middle of the heart sticker, then accent with an enamel stickers to finish.

Do you want a chance to win 1 of 3 $15 gift certificates to Lil Inker?  Well, today is a blog hop...and all you have to do is hop along and leave a comment on each designer's post!  Winners will be picked from all of the comments!  Here is the link list:

That is everything I have for you today! Join me again a little later today with an awesome challenge from Glitz Design!
