Pinkfresh Studio July Release Blog Hop

Happy Monday, blog friends! Today is super exciting, as it is the Pinkfresh Studio July Release Blog Hop!

All of the new stamps & dies are available for purchase today, and they are AMAZING! I think you are going to just love them! Before I get to my card, I wanted to invite you to follow me on social media! I hang out on Instagram a lot, and share my work in progress in my stories...along with REALLY cute photos of my dogs! :) Plus, I just started a YouTube channel, and while there are only 3 videos right now...I will be adding new content consistently!

I will have all of the rest of the blog hop information at the end of my post, but how about we get to my card?! I used the Leafy Backdrop stamp set, with sentiments from the Bloom stamp set for my card today. I've created a feminine version, and then a more masculine version of the same design. Check it out!

The cards are relatively easy to create. I started out by setting the sentiment. I wanted it to have a really clean & modern feel, and I just love these sentiments together. So, I placed them on the card and then used my MISTI to stamp them to two white cardstock blocks that were slightly smaller than an A2 cardbase.

Next I inked up the Leafy Backdrops stamps. I first arranged them in the order that I wanted them stamped, and then started from the edges and made my way in. The colors are stamped with Distress Oxide inks, and I just use my blending tool to get good & even coverage of the ink on the stamp. I did the gold heat embossing last, and just made sure that the oxide inks were fully set & used my anti-static tool generously!

Once both of the cardstock blocks were stamped, I mounted them to A2 sized black cardbases with foam adhesive. Then I accented each card with my signature jewels tucked here & there.

Those are my cards using Leafy Backdrop - I certainly hope that I did it justice! The lovely Natalia was supposed to be the one featuring this stamp set, and she likely would have done a million times better...but unfortunately her package was denied at customs and we weren't able to get it to her in time. I am sure that she will create even more amazing cards with this stamp set once we get everything all sorted out!
