Pinkfresh Studio Frame Builders + Final Days for March Challenge

March 27, 2020

Happy Friday, crafty friends! How are you doing during this strange time in our world? We just got our shelter in place orders from our governor until at least April 10th. However, we traveled to NYC in early March, so we've been distancing since returning home just in case we had contracted the virus. So far so good - no symptoms and we feel great. Honestly - other than not being able to go to the gym everyday, which is a HUGE bummer for me...my life hasn't really changed that much. I work from home as is, and all that has affected my work life is we had to cancel some of my travel & events. That's a bummer too, but they will get rescheduled...even if it is next year.

I did want to mention that Houston, where Pinkfresh Studio headquarters is located, is also under a shelter in place order. Which means our warehouse has to remain closed and we cannot ship orders until the order is lifted by local government. At this time it is tentatively set to lift on April 6th, but that can be pushed back if the city deems it necessary. All orders from the Monday release will start shipping as soon as the shelter in place order has been lifted.

Rather than continuing with our usual weekend promos during this time, we are just going to extend the free US or discounted international shipping on orders $35+ until the order is lifted. Use the code below based on your location in order to take advantage of the shipping promo. We are still taking orders & processing payment, but please remember that shipping will not resume until we can get back into the warehouse.

Trust me - we are SO sad about this, but we also completely understand the reason for it. And we cannot WAIT to get back to shipping your orders, and seeing what you create with our new Essentials Slim Cuts. Until then, we encourage you to connect & create with us using the Pinkfresh Studio products you have on hand!

One way to create for a chance to win a $50 gift card to our shop is to enter our monthly challenge! The March "Frame It" Challenge is in its final days, and you have until Tuesday, March 31st at 11:59pm to get a papercrafting creation linked up! This challenge is for ANY type of papercrafts: cards, layouts, mini albums, notebook spreads, DIY decor, tags, & more! Here is the March challenge graphic for reference, but be sure to head over to the challenge post for the rest of the details!

I've created this trio of cards featuring our My Favorite Story paper collection, and our Frame Builder dies, along with the Phrase Builder: Sending die set for the sentiments. I have used the 6x6 Paper Pad (SSS | SB.com) and Fabric Bows (SSS | SB.com) from the My Favorite Story collection on all three cards. The patterned paper background panels were all cut with the largest Essentials: Stitched Rectangle, which added the perfect stitched touch to each card! Finally, the glitter paper I used on each card was purchased at Michael's - it is from Martha Stewart and is the champagne color.

This first card features the Frame Builder: Botanical Triangle die set, and I've also used the Floral Ephemera pack (SSS | SB.com) behind the gorgeous triangle. On all three cards, I've diecut the botanical frames and phrase builders words multiple times and then stacked with a glue pen. These dies are very dainty, and it would be quite cumbersome to add foam tape behind it, so I find this to be the best way to add dimension and sturdiness to the cut! All three cards have been accented with our gorgeous Essentials: Crystals Mix. These are out of stock, but you can sign up for a restock notification in the product link. We are expecting our reorder at the end of April. :)

This next card features the Frame Builder: Botanical Circle die set. I didn't realize this set was also sold out everywhere, but never fear, it will come back in stock! Like the jewels, you can sign up for a restock notification in the product link. I've cut out the middle of the top layer with the largest Essentials: Stitched Scallop Circle die.

My final card features the Frame Builder: Botanical Diamond die set. This set can also be used as a square for added versatility! I've also added a Puffy Sticker (SSS | SB.com) from the My favorite Story collection to help convey the sentiment.

I just love combining all the amazing dies that Pinkfresh Studio has to offer with our paper collections for scrapbooking style cards! I hope it gives you some inspiration to try it out as well. If you find yourself with some crafty time this weekend, why not try out the Pinkfresh Studio March challenge?

That is everything I have for you today! If you have any questions about my card, feel free to leave them in the comments and I will be sure to reply.
