Happy Friday, crafty friends! This is one of two posts today, so be sure to check out both. Pinkfresh Studio and My Sweet Petunia are partnering up for a really fantastic blog hop full of inspiration!
There are giveaways to be had and tons of amazing projects to see, and I will put all of that info at the bottom of my post. But let's get to my card first!
"Happy Birthday Wishes" card
Most of our stamps really benefit from using a MISTI, but especially our Pop Out Background stamps. They become even more versatile when you have a stamping platform, and the MISTI is truly the very best option out there. I have been using one for a very LONG time, and now have about 4 of them in my crafting studio. Lol! I recently received the new & improved MISTI design, and it is fantastic! The improvement to the lid alone is reason enough to purchase the new version. Here is a list of the main products I've used to create this card. You will find my list of tools & such at the very end of the blog post.

Okay - back to my card! This card was quite easy to put together. I started by placing two of the stripes from our Pop Out: Straight Stripes background stamp into my MISTI. Then I stamped in the darkest shade as shown. The key to getting these stripes so close is to slide your cardstock down just ever so slightly, so that there will be some overlap between colors. Then proceed to finish stamping the stripes in an ombre fashion from darkest to lightest.
I pulled one of the sentiments out of the Pop Out: Hexagons background stamp, and stamped it in Detail Black between the two sets of stripes. I diecut the panel with the largest Diagonal Stitched rectangle, then mounted it to a light blue A2 card base with foam adhesive. I diecut the word happy from the Sentiment Suite: Happy Birthday die set 3 times: once from gold foil paper and twice from white cardstock. I stacked & glued them together, then adhered to the card front. I finished the card by accenting with our Jewels Mix.
Do you love your MISTI? I know that I certainly do, and it completely revolutionized stamping for me. I know I am not alone in that! If you have any questions about this card, leave them in the comments and I will be sure to reply.
Now let's get to all the blog hop info you need!
GIVEAWAYS
Two lucky comments left throughout the entire blog hop will win either a $50 gift card to Pinkfresh Studio or My Sweet Petunia.
