Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Cards Series - Day 1 + GIVEAWAY

November 5, 2018

Happy Monday, friends! As I mentioned in my post on Thursday, I am doing a Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Cards series on my blog this week! I created all these cards in July when the stamps/dies released, but I wanted to wait to share them on my blog closer to the holidays. It is going to be 5 days of holiday inspiration, and one HUGE giveaway! How about I give you that info first?!

GIVEAWAY
Friends, this is well over $300 in Pinkfresh Studio goodies that is going to go to one lucky winner at the end of this week! Some of the items have been gently used, so there might be a couple items with ink stains. But everything is in perfect condition other than that, and many items have never been used before.

How to win? All you have to do is leave a comment on my posts! Make sure you stop by each day this week after noon CST (that is when the posts will go live), and you will have more chances to win!

You can gain one extra entry by following me on Instagram, and/or subscribing to my YouTube channel. Leave one comment if you do either, or both. Please - only ONE extra comment. I will post the winner on my GIVEAWAY PAGE on Sunday, November 11th by 2pm CST.

This giveaway is open to all, BUT...if you are international I will ask that you pay for the additional shipping charges required. I will be sending this entire shipment in a flat rate Priority Mail box, and I am willing to pay what the shipping charge is in the US. By commenting as an Int'l friend, you are telling me that you are willing to pay for the extra shipping via PayPal. Thank you for understanding - Int'l shipping is very expensive, but I still wanted to keep this giveaway open to all. This is the only way I can make that happen.

You might be asking - why not spread the wealth each day? Well, friends...shipping is expensive, even within the US. Plus my schedule is super busy, and it is just easier for me to pick one winner for it all. Feel free to share the wealth if you are the winner!

So, how about we get to my card for today? Today is all about the whimsical & adorable set called Squirrel Friends. I think this set is so, so cute...and I think you will too! To get this card started, I ink blended a cotton candy sky to a white cardstock block using distress inks. Then I added a strip of Scor-Tape to the bottom, and covered it in prisma glitter.

Next I did some loose watercolor with watered down Licorice liquid watercolor to a block of white cardstock. Once it was dry, I diecut it with the different sized triangles, and then cut the smallest triangles multiple times from pure white cardstock. I layered them together, then adhered to the top of the ink blended background. Then I snipped the excess off each side.

Next I worked on the squirrel images. This set works best if you diecut the main image first, then stamp each item to it. I do use a little bit of washi tape on the back & insert it into the cardstock block that I cut if from. Then stamp each section with my MISTI - I used onyx black Versafine for the critters, Distress Inks for the scarves, and a brown ink I had on hand for the sled. (I can't remember which ink it was - but any brown ink will do!) Then I colored in the critters with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and then mounted them to the card front with foam dots.

The final step was stamping & heat embossing the sentiment to a strip of vellum. I wrapped it around the ink blended panel, then mounted the entire panel to the front of a cream colored A2 card with foam adhesive. Finally I accented around the sentiment with my signature trio of jewels.

That is what I have for you today! Be sure to check back tomorrow at noon CST for day 2 of my Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Cards series! Have an awesome rest of your Monday!

  1. Lea your card is so sweet!! I love the soft colours and this type of story-book drawings. Pinkfresh is a great brand but still hard to get in the Netherlands. Therefore I appreciate it even more that you also ship to Europe. Ofcourse it is not a problem to pay for the shippingcosts.
