I know I mentioned giveaways, and I will share those at the end of my post, along with a complete blog hop list for day 1. But first, I wanted to let you know that I will be doing a Pinkfresh Studio Christmas Card series on my blog starting Monday! I have a HUGE prize that I will be offering up, so be sure to check back on Monday to get ALL the details. So, how about we get to my card? I created this cutie card using the Skating Bunnies stamps & coordinating dies, and paired them with a background that I created from liquid watercolor. Check it out!
I did film a video of my card today, but was having some major technical issues yesterday. So, I will put it up on my YouTube channel later today, and then add it into my post. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel, and hit the notification bell so you will get an update when the video is up! That way you won't miss it!
To start, I painted an ombre wash to a block of Cut Cardstock 130 LB cougar white cardstock using liquid watercolor in Aquamarine & Sky Blue. While it was drying, I stamped the bunnies to white cardstock in onyx black Versafine ink, then colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used the following colors:
Fur: Light Gray, Pale Gray
Clothes: Geranium Red, Red
Cheeks: Pale Pink
Once I was finished coloring them, I cut them out with their coordinating diecuts.
Next I arranged the bunnies where I wanted to place them, but didn't adhere them down quite yet. Then I arranged the swirls as shown, and stamped them directly to the dry watercolor panel in onyx black Versafine ink. Then I also stamped the sentiment directly to the panel in the same ink. Finally, I stamped the snowflakes & snow dots all around the top of the card with white pigment ink - it ended up looking more like embossing ink, which was the perfect touch! With all the stamping done, I covered the bottom of the card using a large glue pen and covered it in prisma glitter.
I mounted the entire watercolor panel to the front of an A2 card base made from heavyweight white cardstock. Next I adhered the bunnies to the front, popping the outside ones with foam dots. I thought that the two bunnies on the right looked like they were skating pairs...so cute!!
Finally, I accented around the sentiment with my signature jewels and added some glitter to the bunnies and stamped snowflakes.
That is what I have for you today! So, how about we get to the prizes and the blog hop link list?

ReplyDeleteI love these unique and whimsical bunnies! The holiday sentiment is very sweet also.
ReplyDeleteYour bunnies are adorable and I could certainly use some skating lessons from them, as they appear very talented! I put on skates last year, for the first time in nearly close to 40 years (I'm old!), after seeing my niece and nephew's grandparents skating with them. I decided that if grammy and grampy could skate, so could I! HA! NOT! My first venture, on an open rink, was nothing shy of embarrassing! I think I bruised my poor husband's hand, clinging on so tightly for fear of falling. Of course, my skate-savvy niece and nephew were ever so patient while their 'doddering' aunty navigated - slowly - around the rink. They were full of advice, too; some of which I heeded and all of which I NEED to practice! One of my winter goals: learn to skate!! Thank you for the smiles AND the inspiration!
