Summer Send-Off with Alexandra Renke

The temps are cooling here, and Fall is definitely in the air. So I thought I would send-off summer with a really fun card set featuring some Alexandra Renke papers & dies that have all the summer vibes. I also love that the colors are some of my favorite combos right now!

I couldn't find the papers in any of the US shops that I frequent, but they are on Alexandra's site - this collection is called POP Summer, and is SO fun! I can't recommend Alexandra's papers enough...they are heavyweight, vibrant & beautifully illustrated.

I did all the diecutting while at a crafty night with friends awhile back. I've found that I am not good at creating things in full while at craft nights, but it is perfect for prepping upcoming projects while I chat, snack and laugh with friends. I just bring my little diecut machine from Altenew with me, which fits right in my tote bag, and I can prep the night away! This card is the fruits of my diecutting labor from that night (with the exception of the scalloped panels. I did those at home on my Gemini Jr.). I finished the card by accenting with Pinkfresh Studio Essentials: Jewels Mix.

For this card, I did a little bit of watercolor behind the diecut images with some Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I diecut both of the sentiments from gold glitter paper & white cardstock a few times...then stacked them together. These cards were super easy to put together, and I used foam dots to pop all the diecut pieces and give them some added dimension.

Both cards were accented with my very favorite iridescent jewels from the Pinkfresh Studio Essentials: Jewels Mix. I've picked the light blue, light pink & white...but the yellow would have looked really nice as well. 

Those are the two cards I created to send-off summer! I know many of you are still in the throes of hot, summer weather...but it is definitely starting to feel like fall in my neck of the woods. Bring on boots, football and pumpkin spice everything!
