WPlus9 June 2012- Fresh Preserves

June 1, 2012

Hey there, everyone!  Welcome to day 2 of the June WPlus9 release week!!  So, what did you think of "Fresh Picked" from yesterday?  Isn't it fabulous?!!  I am seriously LOVING these sets.  Do you want to know why?  Because they can be used together, which makes for even more stamping possibilities!!!  I love it!!

Today we are featuring a new stamp/matching die set called "Fresh Preserves".  This set has a cute little jar, a bunch of sweet sentiments {that just so happen to fit perfectly in the smallest Timeless Tags die!!!} and super tiny fruit stamps.  You are going to love it!!  Here is a little bit of information:

Fresh Preserves
  • is a 4x6 clear photopolymer stamp set
  • 17 high quality photo-polymer stamps; 1 jar image, 1 filler image, 1 label image, 8 berry building images in two sizes, and 6 sentiments that fit inside of the label
  • will be available for purchase June 5th for $14
Preserves Jar Die
  • coordinates with the Fresh Picked stamp set
  • four separate dies wired together that can be easily snipped and separated
  • will be available for purchase June 5th for $8
I went with a shaped card this time around, because it just seemed fitting.  I have a couple different fabrics in there to give it some texture, just like the homey goodness that a jar of homemade jam brings.  Here is what I created!
"Have A Sweet Birthday" supplies:
Cardstock: WPlus9 (oatmeal, kraft)
Paper/Tulle/Jewel: Glitz Design (Pretty In Pink collection)
Stamps: WPlus9 (Fresh Preserves & Fresh Picked sets)
Ink: Clearsnap (Pigment: berry, magenta & Mixed Media: leather)
Distress Ink/Blending Tool: Tim Holtz (antique linen)
Crocheted Trim/Twine: May Arts
Pins: Maya Road
Flowers: Recollections
Pearl: Michael's brand
Diecut Machines: Cuttlebug & Cricut Expression by Provo Craft
Diecut Cartridge: Wild Cards by Provo Craft
Circle Cutter: Creative Memories
Sandpaper/Burlap Fabric: craft supply

Instructions:
1. Using a Cricut Expression & Wild Cards cartridge, cut at 5 1/4" from oatmeal cardstock.
2. Cut a 4 inch circle from striped paper; distress the edges.
3. Distress the edges of a flower paper strip; adhere to the circle.
4. Trim the excess floral paper from the circle; finish distressing the edges.
5. Wrap tulle around the left side of the floral paper; top with a tulle bow, jewel & heart stickpins.
6. Cut a notched end to a strip of burlap, then adhere across the middle.
7. Diecut the label, tag & jar from oatmeal & kraft cardstock; distress ink the edges, then stamp the images and sentiment to them.
8. Layer together to the card front, along with crocheted trim, a twine bow and a pink pearl.
9. Add two paper flowers to the lower corner to finish.
