Today is also the Taylored Expression September "Blast from the Past" blog hop! I have enjoyed participating in this for the past few months....and have used the same set every time! Tee hee! Goes to show that stamps are such a good investment...you can use them over and over again and get a completely different look. Here is the card that I came up with for the Blog Hop:
"Time for a Christmas Tea" supplies:
Cardstock: The Paper Company
Paper: GCD Studios
Stamps: Taylored Expression (CreativiTEA set)
Ink: Clearsnap (Pigment: chianti, evergreen & Chalk: creamy brown)
Ribbon: Renaissance by Design
Flowers: Recollections
Pearls: Kaiser Craft
Rub-ons: Creative Imaginations
Corner Rounder: EK Success
Border Punch: Fiskars
Diecut Machine: Cricut Expression by Provo Craft
Diecut Cartridge: Storybook by Provo Craft
Instructions: Sand the front of a sheet music paper block, and adhere it to a cream card base. Round the upper right corner, and the lower left corner of the card. Cut a scalloped circle from red paper at 4" using the Cricut Expression and Storybook cartridge. Cut a circle from cream cardstock at 3.5" and ink the edges. Adhere the two circles together, and trim the edges off of it. Stamp "Time for Tea" to the bottom, and add the rest of the sentiment above it using rub-ons. Adhere the trimmed circle to the front of the card. Adhere a scalloped border strip to green text paper, and sand the edges. Adhere the entire block to the lower right part of the card. Tie ribbon around the seam and accent with green & red paper flowers. Stamp the teapot to cream cardstock, cut it out, and adhere it above the sentiment. Accent the flowers, teapot, and green paper block with pearls.
This card was inspired by my sweet mama! She hosts a gorgeous Christmas Tea every year at her church for the women in the Sheridan community. She decorates numerous tables with all of her beautiful dishes and teapot sets, has wonderful giveaways, reads a book called "A Cup of Christmas Tea"...it is an enchanting and wonderful night just for women to feel special. My mom is pretty amazing....isn't she?! I will have to share some photos of last year's tea when it gets closer to Christmas time.
We were also provided a sketch from Sankari for the blog hop. Here it is:
Enjoy blog hopping! ♥♥♥
Until later,
