Today we are featuring the Pretty Peonies stamp set, the Card Front Element Builder SugarCuts & the Sweet Incentive Program product {which is the Hello SugarCut)! The premise of the incentive program is with a $60+ purchase, you get the incentive item for free! Who doesn't love getting a little something extra for free?
Before I get to my card, I wanted to invite you to follow me on social media. This is a great way to keep up with me, my latest creations & new product that I work with!
To start, I cut & folded an A2 card from cashmere cardstock. Then I diecut the stitched background from matching cardstock, adhered it to the front, and set the cardbase aside. Next I diecut the scalloped rectangle from heavyweight white cardstock. I stamped the flower & the sentiment to it in Versafine onyx black ink using my MISTI tool. This ensured that I would get a perfectly crisp stamped image!
Next I lightly colored in the flower using my Zig Clean Color Real brush markers in pale pink & light green. I wanted this to be super light & airy, keeping some of the white in the stamped image as well...so I mostly colored along the shaded sections in the stamping. Doing this gave me the exact look I was for.
Once I finished coloring, I splattered the front with black paint. I use watercolor cakes for this, and it works perfectly for me! You can use whatever you prefer for adding splatters to your card front, or omit them if it isn't your style or to your liking. Once the paint splatters dried, I adhered the stamped block to the cashmere cardbase with foam to give it a good amount of dimension.
Next I diecut the word hello four times - once from gold glitter paper & 3x from white cardstock. I layered them together to give the sentiment some rigidity, then adhered it to the card front over a knot of gold thread with foam dots {that I cut in half).
That is my card for today - I hope that you liked it! Now, here is more information on the entire SugarPea Designs Winter Product release week:
