SugarPea Designs - Winter Product Release - Day 5

February 16, 2018

Hey there, blog friends! Welcome to day 5 of the SugarPea Designs winter product release week! Today is the day! All new products will be available at 6pm EST, and all of the links I've used this week go live. Each day has a blog hop of sorts, where you can hop along and check out what each SPD designer & guest has created with the day's featured product! I will have that link list for you at the end of my post. {**Please note that none of my links will work until 6pm EST on FRIDAY.**}

Today I am featuring the Diagonal Striped CoverPlate, along with the Better Together stamp set. There are also coordinating Better Together SugarCuts, but I didn't not use them for my card today. I also used the Sweet Incentive Program product {which is the Hello SugarCut).

Before I get to my card, I wanted to invite you to follow me on social media. This  is a great way to keep up with me, my latest creations & new product that I work with!

Now on to my card! This card includes one of my VERY favorite color palettes. Minus the black, it is what Ellie's nursery was going to be decorated in. So, I keep it very close to my heart, and use it often.

 To start, I cut & folded an A2 card from white heavyweight cardstock, then covered the front with light pink shimmer paper. Next I diecut the diagonal striped coverplate for white heavyweight cardstock, and adhered it to the card front with foam tape.

 Next I diecut the word hello 4 times - once from teal glitter paper & three times from white cardstock. I adhered them together to give the scripted word some structure & dimension! Then I glued it to the card front over top of a knot of gold thread.

The next step was to stamp & heat emboss the second part of the sentiment to a black cardstock strip. Then I cut banner edges to both ends & adhered it to the card front with foam dots. {I took these photos at a different angle & lighting in hopes you could see the shimmer of the pink paper better. It's not perfect, but hopefully it shows it a little better!}

The final step was, of course, accenting with my signature jewels - tucking a couple of them underneath the sentiment strip.
That is my card for today - I hope that you liked it! Now, here is more information on the entire SugarPea Designs Winter Product release week:
