Winnie & Walter 4th Birthday Bash Blog Hop

February 16, 2018

Happy Friday, blog friends! And welcome to my second post of the day! Today is the Winnie & Walter 4th Birthday Bash Blog hop!

http://www.blog.winniewalter.com/

Today we are hopping along, celebrating love & friendship while using amazing products from Winnie & Walter! I've been part of the Winnie & Walter family for the majority of the 4 years they've been around. Even when I stepped away for the better part of 2 years - Shay kept me in the family, sent me the latest Winnie & Walter, and welcomed me with open arms when I said I was ready to return. I finally got the chance to meet Shay & some of the other W&W girls at Creativation a few weeks ago - and it was such an amazing treat. I don't remember the last time I laughed & cried & smiled so much that it hurt - these are the kind of women that you want to surround yourself with. Here we are in the Pinkfresh booth!

So, how about I get to my card? I've been itching to create a rainbow themed card, and today just seemed like the perfect time. I simply adore how this card turned out! After spending those 4 days in Pheonix, I just realized how much LOVE I have for all of these amazing women & men that I consider friends & colleagues in this industry.

I started out by cutting & folding an A2 card from heavyweight black cardstock. Then I cut a block of heavyweight white cardstock slightly smaller, and diecut the word "love" from it.

Next I used my MISTI, and stamped the rest of the sentiment to the diecut cardstock block in onyx black Versafine. I marked where the diecut word "love" would be on the black cardbase and covered it with a strip of rainbow jewels. Then I adhered the white cardstock block over top of it, popping it with foam tape. Next I glued the letter middles directly to the top of the rainbow jewels.

I diecut the scripted word "love" 4 times - once from teal glitter paper and three times from white cardstock. I adhered them together to give the sentiment some rigidity, then glued it over top of the jeweled word.

To finish, I accented the front with my jewels here & there! I'm going to be real with you here - I did use the jewels to cover up a little mistake. I somehow got some of the black ink onto my finger, & it smudged onto the white cardstock. I REALLY didn't want to have to do it all over again, so I found a way to make it work!

That is my rainbow card for you for our fun love & friendship blog hop - I hope that you enjoyed my post, and the instructions were clear. Please feel free to ask me any questions if you have any!

Before I get to the rest of the blog hop info that you need, I did want to see if we could be "friends" on social media! It is such a great way to keep up with all the latest!

Okay - so, what is a blog hop without a link list & some prizes? First up - here is the AMAZING line-up of Winnie & Walter friends creating GORGEOUS projects that will be sure to inspire you!

  34. This is so gorgeous! I've never tried rainbow bling, but I have something similar that might work with some elbow grease. I have bling on a sheet but its all clear, and its non-adhesive... but a little Copic coloring and some glue and I think it would look identical. Gonna have to make time to play this weekend!
