Before I get to my card, I wanted to invite you to follow

I will have all of the rest of the blog hop information at the end of my post, but how about we get to my card?! I used the Modern Mandala die, with a sentiment from the Folk Tree stamp set for my card today. Check it out!
To start, I created an A2 card from Cashmere cardstock and set aside. I cut a white cardstock block slightly smaller. Then I created a stencil from the Modern Mandala die, and taped it to the top of the white cardstock block. I proceeded to blend Distress Oxide inks in Tattered Rose & Worn Lipstick, along with Delicata ink in Golden Glitz. Then I mounted the ink blended block to the card front with foam.
Next I diecut the Modern Mandala from gold glitter cardstock. After taking a bit of time to punch out all the small insides, I realized that the complete die didn't show the ink blending very much. So I trimmed it down to the inside circle, then adhered to the card front with foam tape.
Next I stamped the sentiment from Folk Tree in onyx black Versafine to a strip of white cardstock. I trimmed the edges, then adhered to the top with foam tape. Finally, to finish I accented around the sentiment strip with my signature jewels tucked here & there! One of my favorite touches to my cards.
I wanted to share this photo, as this is all you need to create this beautiful mandala card, apart from tools, adhesives & basics like cardstock. You really don't need a lot to create a really amazing card, and most of these supplies can be used over & over before they need to be replaced! I absolutely purchase new items each month to freshen my products, but I do stick to a pretty strict budget. I like to invest in items that I will get a lot of use out of, and make sure that I am using like items already owned before I purchase anything similar.
That is my card using a couple of the new Spring Release items from Pinkfresh Studio! I hope that you like it!
