Welcome to day 2 of the SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week! It is sure to be a fun day!
All week long I will have projects featuring brand new products from SugarPea Designs
that will be available on Friday at 6pm EST! Each day has a blog hop of
sorts, where you can hop along and check out what each SPD designer
& guest has created with the day's featured product! I will have
that link list for you at the end of my post. {All links below will not go live until Friday evening.}Today I am featuring the Postage Stamp CoverPlate, the ParisScape SugarCut & the Chic Wishes stamp set. We've got a very chic international feel to our stamp release for Spring, and I think you are going to just love it!
So, I've done only my second video ever with this card today, and I am super excited to share it with you today! I added my very first video to yesterday's post, as it wasn't quite ready when the post went live. So if you missed the video, I would love for you to go check it out! Please keep in mind that I am by no means a pro, but I am happy with how it turned out!
I will absolutely still share this as a written tutorial for those
that would prefer to not watch a video. But, I would love for you to
subscribe to my YouTube channel if you'd like to start this new journey
with me! My YouTube channel just went live, so this is only the second video
uploaded at this point, but you can expect more in the very near future.
I created a chic little Paris themed birthday card for my project today in shades of
pink, orange & gold! I think it turned out so pretty!! Check it out!
To start I cut an A2 card from white heavyweight cardstock and set aside. Then I cut a block of cardstock the same size & blended the Distress Oxide inks in an ombre gradient from orange to light pink. Then I sprinkled water to it to get that pretty reaction from the distress oxide ink. Finally I splattered it with gold paint & sprayed it down with shimmer spray, then set it aside to dry.
Next I diecut the inked background using the large Postage Stamp CoverPlate. Then I proceeded to diecut the ParisScape from both black & gray cardstock, and set them all aside. I added craft foam to the back of my ink blended background, and proceeded to mount it to the card base.
Next I stamped & heat embossed the sentiment in white to black cardstock. I trimmed it down & cut a banner edge to the left side, then adhered it to the upper right corner of the card with foam dots. Then I added the two layers of ParisScape dies to the bottom of the card, utilizing the grey layer as a shadow for the black layer. I proceeded to paint on shimmer to the top ParisScape layer using my Wink of Stella pen.
To finish I accented the card with my signature jewels tucked here & there!
That is my card for you today! I hope that you like it! Now let's get to
the rest of the information you need. First up, here is the link list:
