Reverse Confetti - Stock Your Stash October

October 26, 2018

Happy Friday, blog friends! Sorry it has been a little quiet on my blog this week - I've been busy with some Pinkfresh Studio tasks that haven't allowed a lot of time to create cards just because! There is lots to share with you in the future!

This is my final post as a 'Fetti Friend, but I know I will be using all of the great products that I received for the rest of this season!I have created this card set for their October Stock Your Stash Challenge, which has a Friendship/Thanksgiving theme. I've created with both sentiments in mind for my card today!

I didn't have time to film/edit a video for this card set, but if I'm being real with you...it is basically the same concept as last month's Reverse Confetti video - just different colors, and some added products. I like using techniques over & over again, because you tend to get better at them as you do them...plus the result is always different!

To start, I created (2) A2 cards from Cut Cardstock's 130 LB Cougar White cardstock, then layered a block of their gold glitter paper to the front. I did a write-up & video about Cut Cardstock last week that I think you would enjoy to read/watch if you didn't happen upon it last week.

Then I added the color wash to the front of (2) A2 blocks of Tim Holtz watercolor paper using Distress Inks & the watercolor smooshing technique. I let them dry, then diecut them using the Reverse Confetti Triangles cover plate. Next I mounted them to the front of each cardbase with foam tape.

Next I stamped & heat embossed all of the leaves to Arches watercolor paper in Gilded embossing powder. Then I watercolored them with the same distress inks as above. Once they were dry, I cut them out with their coordinating dies.

Next I stamped & heat embossed the sentiments to vellum in Gilded embossing powder. I trimmed them into strips and added a banner edge to them. At this point it was time to finish putting the cards together. I layered the sentiment strips to the front, tucking the leaves here & there around each sentiment. Then I accented with my signature jewels.

Here is a look at the cards by themselves!

And one final peek at all the beautiful leaves & jewel accents!

That is all I have for you today, my friends! Before you move along with your day, I wanted to invite you to follow me on social media. I hang out on Instagram a lot, and share my work in progress in my stories...along with REALLY cute photos of my dogs! :) And of course, I would love for you to subscribe to my YouTube Channel.

I hope that you have a great Friday & start to your weekend!
