Hey there, blog friends! Well, I am back home from Orlando & freezing my little rear off in Fargo again! Lol! Okay- it's not THAT bad, but compared to Florida... We had a great time together on our mini vacation, and Universal was really fun! We loved the Harry Potter sections, but they were quite busy. So- while we did check out everything at least once in it...we also spent a lot of time in the other areas of the park that were far less crowded.
It is Chipboard Week on the My Mind's Eye blog, and today I am sharing a couple of cards using chipboard & products from the Jubilee "Mint Julep" collection. I focused on the beautiful banner & bicycle pieces in collections chipboard pack. Check them out!
I posted a little about my design process on the MME blog, so check that out to read more. I created this with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday "Transport" challenge in mind...the bicycles were a perfect fit!! Don't you just love all the layers of doilies as well?! My fave!!
I hope that you enjoyed my cards for today...and be sure to check out the My Mind's Eye blog all week long for chipboard inspiration!
Until later,
~L.

Happy World Card Making Day, blog friends!! I am still in Orlando, so unfortunately I won't be around to participate in all that is going on this weekend {I know...poor pitiful me, right? Lol.}. But, I am still hosting a challenge on the Winnie & Walter blog today!
My challenge is an "On Trend" challenge....& I almost went with my go-to gold, which is so trendy right now. And while I did still use a bit of gold on my project, I decided that I wanted to challenge you with the ever trendy camera theme!! Plus- it allowed me to ink up some Winnie & Walter stamps that I haven't had the chance to use, as I wasn't part of the team yet when they released. Here is what I created!
I love this cute Polaroid camera, and since it is a little retro looking...I chose to go pair it with some bolder colors & woodgrain from the My Mind's Eye Jubilee "Tangerine" collection. I love how well they go together! I used Freshly Made Sketches #156, and just changed out some of the shapes! So often I use really feminine colors & product, and I kind-of dig that this card can be given to anyone. It also fits The Cutting Edge #11, which also has a camera themed card!!
I hope that you will join me in my WCMD challenge, and check out the other designers' challenges as well!! Please reference the On Trend challenge post at the Winnie & Walter blog for all participation rules & prize information. I can't wait to see what you create! Have a wonderful time creating this weekend!
Until later,
~L.
Happy Thursday, friends!! As you read this...I am getting ready to fly out for a weekend of fun in Orlando with Josh. We are going to check out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios for a couple of days, and we are so excited!!! It will be nice to just get away from Fargo for a few days as well.
Awhile back I won a challenge at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, and Michele asked if I would like to do a guest spot on their blog. I was happy to oblige, and this clean & simple card is what I created for today!
I used the "Breathe" stamp set, and combined it with CAS(E) this Sketch #94. The sketch was perfect to use the beautiful paint brush from the stamp set, and I am loving the little bit of gold that I've added in the sentiment.
I hope that you enjoyed my card today!! I will have another post scheduled for Saturday, with a fun challenge from Winnie & Walter for World Card Making Day! I hope you'll stop by & play along!

Happy October, blog friends!! Seriously...can you believe there are only three months left in 2014?! I felt like I was saying Happy New Year just a few weeks ago!!!
The first day of the month means there is a new Mama Elephant challenge, and this month we are doing an Anything Goes theme!! So basically....use your ME goodies on a project & link it on up!!! I created a cute little Halloween card using the Mama Elephant "Bootastic" stamp set, and some My Mind's Eye "Frightful" goodies!
I just love that cute little witch! I used the sketch at The Challenge #15 to start my design process, and just went from there. It also fits the The Card Concept #20 color challenge of black, orange & white. Because I am a product oriented stamper, I always try to choose paper products that will compliment the stamps I'm using....so I thought that the cute pumpkin paper matched that adorable witch perfectly!!
- Your entry must use at least one Mama Elephant stamp
- Your entry must be based on the challenge/inspiration source provided
- Your entry must link back to this blog post along with the graphic image
- Winner gets featured and a stamp set of choice
- Deadline is August
- Link up using the Inlinkz on the bottom of the October challenge post
- Have fun, stamp, stamp, stamp!!!
Be sure to check out what the rest of the challenge team has created for this month's challenge as well!
