WPlus9 February 2012 - Easter Greetings

February 2, 2012

Hey there, everyone!  Welcome back to day three of our February WPlus9 release.  Today we are featuring a new stamp set called Easter Greetings and a layered butterfly die set.  You are going to LOVE the layered butterfly...it just has so many possibilities!  Here is a little bit of information on each item:

Easter Greetings
  • is a 3X4 clear photopolymer stamp set
  • contains 4 stamps; 3 images and 1 sentimet
  • will be available for purchase February 5th for just $6
Layered Butterfly Die
  • contains 4 stackable shapes to build a layered butterfly
  • comes on a single die that can be easily snipped and separated
  • will be available for purchase February 5th for just $7
I went long and skinny for my card this time around, which is a bit unusual for me.  But, I love the cleanness of the left side, and then the fun cluster of items on the right side!  {Plus....I wanted to use this awesome sketch that will be linked below.} Here is what I created!
"Easter Wishes" supplies:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (vintage cream)
Paper/Book Paper/Stickers/Lace Trim: Glitz Design (Dance In Sunshine: Birds, Raindrops, Damask)
Stamps: WPlus9 (Easter Greetings & Spring Tags sets)
Dies: WPlus9 (Layered Butterfly, Circle Stackers 1 & Timeless Tags)
Ink: Clearsnap (Stephanie Bernard Dye: chocolate) & Tsukineko (chalk: spring pansy)
Distress Ink/Blending Tool: Tim Holtz (antique linen)
Button: American Crafts
Ribbon: Renaissance by Design
Twine: May Arts
Jewels: Doodlebug Designs (purple) & Kaiser Craft (aqua)
Corner Rounder: Creative Memories
Diecut Machine: Cuttlebug by Provo Craft
Sandpaper

Instructions:  Make card from cream cardstock, then round the bottom corners.  Cut a strip of bird paper, round the bottom corners, distress the edges and adhere.  Cut a strip of purple paper and a strip of aqua paper, round the top corners, distress the edges and layer together.  Adhere to the top of the card, then add a strip of lace trim over the seam and accent with three purple jewels.  Diecut the circle stackers from patterned paper, distress the edges and adhere together.  Stamp the egg to cream cardstock, cut out and distress ink the edges.  Adhere to the circle stack, then add a sticker bow to the egg.  Adhere the entire circle stack to the right side of the card.  Tie a bow from purple dotted ribbon, and add a button to the center using twine.  Adhere the bow to the lower right side of the circle stack.  Diecut the tag from patterned paper, distress ink the edges and stamp the sentiment to it.  Tuck the tag slightly under the button and adhere.  Diecut the butterfly layers from purple patterned paper and book paper.  Distress the edges, and layer together.  Add a ribbon sticker to the middle, then accent with three aqua jewels.  Adhere to the upper left corner of the circle stack to finish.

Card Challenges Used:
-Cute Card Thursday #202- buttons & bows
-Catered Crop Recipe Swap- use book paper
