Happy Spring!

Happy Sunday, everyone!!  I hope that you have had a good weekend so far!  Ours has been pretty quiet, which is nice.  We went to a place called the Burger Shack for lunch yesterday...and it was pretty good.  The burgers are ginormous, and they had tons of interesting options!  I went plain jane with a bacon cheeseburger, but my hubby a portobello mushroom burger with blue cheese sauce...he said it was awesome!!  We have been trying to go on lunch dates each Saturday to a place we've never eaten at...and it is really fun!  It doesn't happen every weekend, but at least we try!  After running to Costco to get some much needed groceries, we picked up "The Three Muskateers" from Redbox, and had a nice evening at home.

Today is my last Sunday as the Flourishes Limelight Designer, and I created a sweet little spring card to round my month out.  I have really enjoyed using the Flourishes stamps- they are great quality, and the images & sentiments are just so pretty!!  I did a little write up on white balance on my Flourish's blog post today, so go check that out if you are interested.  Here is the card I created!
"Happy Spring!" supplies:
Cardstock: Flourishes (classic ivory)
Paper: Glitz Design (Beautiful Dreamer: damask, floral, polka, houndstooth)
Stamps: Flourishes (Spring is Sprung set)
Ink: Clearsnap (Donna Salazar mixed media: honey & Chalk: pink sky)
Distress Ink/Blending Tool: Tim Holtz (antique linen)
Ribbon: May Arts (pink) & Really Reasonable Ribbon (cream)
Twine: May Art
Buttons: American Crafts (aqua) & SEI (pink)
Pearls: Michael's brand
Dies: Spellbinders (Lacey Circles & Labels Eighteen)
Diecut Machine: Cuttlebug by Provo Craft

Instructions:  make card from cream cardstock.  Cut aqua paper slightly smaller, distress the edges and adhere. Cut floral paper slightly smaller than the aqua layer, distress the edges and adhere.  Cut a banner from heart paper, distress the edges and adhere.  Curl down the upper right corner of the floral paper and adhere.  Diecut the lacey circle from houndstooth paper, distress the edges and adhere to the middle.  Diecut the label from cream cardstock, and distress ink the edges.  Stamp the image and sentiment to it, then adhere to the top of the circle diecut.  Tie a double bow from cream seam binding and adhere to the upper corner of the label.  Make a rosette from pink ribbon, accent the middle with pearls and then adhere to the middle of the double bow.  Thread two buttons with thread and adhere to the opposite corner, then add an additional pearl to finish.

Card Challenges Used:
-The Pixie Cottage #113- Easter or spring
-Divas by Design #27- distressing
-Tuesday Throwdown #90- spring cleaning (use old or forgotten supplies)
-There She Goes #148- Easter & animals

Once again, thank you to Flourishes for having me as your Limelight Designer for the month of March!  I had a wonderful time using your stamps, and creating lovely projects for each Sunday post.  That is all I have for now, so I hope that you all have a great rest of your day! ♥♥♥

Until later,
~Lea L.
