SugarPea Designs - Summer Release - Day 5

Hi there, blog friends! Welcome to day 5 of the SugarPea Designs Summer Sweet Peek Week! We've got a ton of amazing new products to share with you, plus lots of inspiring projects!

 Today I am featuring the Geo Floral CoverPlate that was featured the other day, and the Warm Welcome stamp set. I'm also featuring the Summer Sweet Incentive item (free with $60 purchase), which is the Welcome word die.

 To start, I cut an A2 card from white cardstock and set aside. Then I cut a block of watercolor paper the same size, and brushed Pinkfresh Studio liquid watercolor in sky blue in an ombre gradient to it. I let it dry, and then sponged some Delicata Golden Glitz ink through the middle of it to give it a little shimmer. (It almost looks like a geode in real life!) Next I adhered the watercolor block directly to the card front.

 Next I diecut the coverplate three times from heavyweight white cardstock. I layered them together, and then layered it to the front of the card. You don't have to cut it more than once if you would prefer not to, but I like the extra structure & dimension it gives to the card.

Next I diecut the word welcome four times: once from gold glitter paper, and three times from white cardstock. I layered them together using my Zig glue pen. I stamped the rest of the sentiment to white cardstock in onyx black Versafine ink, then cut it into a thin strip. I adhered them together to the card front, popping up the thin strip with foam tape.

To finish, I accented around the sentiment with my signature jewels tucked here & there.
