Happy Thursday blog friends! It's new release time at SugarPea Designs, and we are going to be sharing projects with you all week long using all the new stamps & dies that are going to be released on Friday evening in the SugarPea Designs shop!
Today we are introducing a new stamp set called Birthday Balloons, that also has a coordinating die for the balloon shape. I happened to be looking through our digital movie collection, and saw Up in there. I was totally inspired by that, but couldn't really get the balloons to look right carrying the house...so I made a little adjustment and just gave a little nod to the movie instead. :)
To start I inked blended the clouds to a block of heavyweight white cardstock using distress ink in Tumbled Glass. Then I mounted it to the front of a top folding A2 card with foam adhesive.
Next I stamped all the balloons to white cardstock using Distress Oxide inks. Most of the balloons have 2-3 inks blended on them to just give them a little more dimension. Then I cut them out with the coordinating die, and adhered white burlap strings to each one. I arranged them to the card front, popping a few here & there with 2 different sized foam dots. I gathered the strings, and swooped them to the right side of the card, glued them down, and trimmed off the excess.
Then I diecut the little house, and added a little ink blending & shimmer to it. Then I stamped the sentiment to a white cardstock strip in Delicata Golden Glitz, then adhered them to the bottom of the card. I finished by accenting the card with my signature jewels tucked here & there.
That is what I have for you today! This card was so fun to create, and I love how the balloons turned out! Now let's get to the rest of the information you need. First up, here is the link list for the blog hop:
