Happy Tuesday blog friends! It's new release time at SugarPea Designs, and we are going to be sharing projects with you all week long using all the new stamps & dies that are going to be released on Friday evening in the SugarPea Designs shop!
Today we are introducing two new stamp sets with coordinating SugarCuts called Bewitched and Darling Dragons, along with another SugarCut set called Hocus Pocus. These are super adorable Halloween themed products that you are just going to love!
I have used something from all of the items today to create my sweet & girly card! I just love that nothing about these Halloween items are scary - I'm not a fan of scary Halloween stuff. But...I do LOVE when it is cute!
To start I ink blended the background using oxide inks in the following colors: shaded lilac, tattered rose, worn lipstick & seedless preserve. I blended them in an ombre gradient, making sure to really blend and avoid any hard lines through the color changes. Then I lightly blended some Delicata golden glitz over the whole panel just to give it some shimmer. Next I proceeded to cut the Stardust die from the right side of the ink blended block, then backed it with gold glitter paper. Finally I mounted the ink blended panel to a top folding white A2 card base.
Next I diecut the cauldron and it's layers, from black cardstock, gold glitter paper & white cardstock. I also diecut the stars & moon from gold glitter paper and two times from white cardstock. I layered those pieces together and adhered to the upper right corner of the ink blended block. I stamped & heat embossed the sentiment in white to the front of the cauldron. I also covered the top layer of the potion in embossing ink & glow in the dark embossing powder, then heat set. I adhered both potion layers to the top of the cauldron, then mounted it to the lower right corner of the card.
Next I stamped the little girl, kitty and two bats to white cardstock in onyx black Versafine ink. I colored them in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, then cut them out using their coordinating dies. I mounted each one to the card front with foam dots, then added some shimmer to them with my Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen. And finally, I accented the card with my signature jewels tucked here & there!
That is what I have for you today! This card was so fun to create, and I am just in love with the colors! Now let's get to the rest of the information you need. First up, here is the link list for the blog hop:
