Happy Friday blog friends! It's new release time at SugarPea Designs, and we are going to be sharing projects with you all week long using all the new stamps & dies that are going to be released tonight in the SugarPea Designs shop!
On our final day of Sweet Peek Week, we are sharing what is probably my favorite stamp set from the release, Eucalyptus Wreath. It is honestly just stunning! We are also sharing the new Grateful Greetings stamp set (which I didn't use, but will in the very near future) and the Grateful word die. I am a wedding photographer, and Eucalyptus just makes me happy...it photographs so beautifully!
My cards for today came to be by accident, in a way. You see - I wasn't sure what color I wanted to emboss it in. So, I decided to emboss it in all three colors that were on the list, and then I was going to pick my favorite. I ended up loving all three, and how they looked together in a set! So, I chose to make three very simple cards with the focus being on the beauty of this Eucalyptus Wreath. I look forward to doing much more with this set in the future - including watercolor. So be sure to check back!
There is nothing revolutionary about these cards, and they were super simple to put together. These could easily be created in bulk if needed. The first thing that I did was stamp & heat emboss the wreath to three heavyweight white cardstock blocks. I used the following brands/colors: Ranger Enchanted Gold, Avery Elle Rose Gold and Ranger Gold. Unfortunately, I couldn't find enchanted gold powder for my link list - so it might be discontinued. There are hundreds of embossing powders out there, so you can surely switch it out if you don't happen to have this one in your selection. Once all were heat set, I mounted them to top folding A2 card bases in cream shimmer, cashmere & kraft.
Then I diecut the word Grateful from three different matching glitter papers, and then six more times from heavyweight white cardstock. I adhered each glitter layer with two white layers, then adhered each one to the corresponding card base with mixed media glue. And that is it! Super simple & easy to create, but they are so beautiful & shimmery! I wish you could see them in real life! Here are the three cards photographed separately.
That is what I have for you today - I'm excited with just how lovely these turned out! Now let's get to the rest of the information you need. First up, here is the link list for the blog hop:
