WPlus9 July 2011 Group Post

Hey there, everyone!  Well, it is group post time for the WPlus9 July release week...which means the stamps and dies are available for purchase!!  Be sure to head on over to the WPlus9 store and pick up your must haves for the month of July!!

I used the C'est la Vie stamp set mixed with UpCycle from Cosmo Cricket for my card today.  I really wanted to create a fun and colorful "Girl's Night Out" type of theme for it, and I think I worked it out.  Tee hee!  I used the Viva la Verve! July Week 2 sketch to help with the design.  Oh- and the floral strip down the side, and the two tags coming out from the ribbon were actually cut from the intro sheet that the actual patterned papers came with.  They were scaled down to the perfect size that way...so don't forget to look at your  packaging when creating things!! :)

"Let's Go Party!" supplies: 

Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (vintage cream) 

Paper: Cosmo Cricket (Upcycle: Reverse, Relove, intro sheet)

Stamps: WPlus9 (C'est la Vie set, Label Layer 2)

Ink: Clearsnap (Pigment: black, platinum)

Buttons: Fancy Pants

Ribbon/Scalloped Border Die: Papertrey Ink

Twine: The Twinery

Stickers: Cosmo Cricket (tag) & Glitz Design (teeny letters)
Diecut Machine: Cuttlebug by Provo Craft

Instructions:  Make card from vintage cream cardstock.  Cover the front of the card with polka dot patterned paper.  Cut a handbag paper block, and a gray scalloped strip, and adhere to the bottom of the card.  Diecut the label layer from vintage cream cardstock, stamp the flourish frame to it, adhere to the left side, and trim the excess.  Cut a floral paper strip, and adhere it to the left side of the card.  Add a strip of ribbon over the paper seam on the right side of the card, and then add a bow to it.  Stitch a button to the bow center using twine.  Stamp the dressform and crown to vintage cream cardstock, and cut out.  Layer them to the left side of the bow, and then accent with pink & aqua colored jewels.  Cut the texted paper strips, and adhere underneath the bow.  Adhere a sticker tag to the lower right corner, and then add teeny alpha stickers on top of it to finish.
