Reverse Confetti - New Release Hop

September 8, 2018

Hi there blog friends! I've been peeking all the new Reverse Confetti products this week, and they are now available for purchase!

Today is the release blog hop, and I will provide the entire link list for you below. But first let's get to my cards! I've created two cards for you today with the remaining products that I hadn't used yet during the countdown. Up first is this cutie Christmas card using Holiday Gnomes stamps & coordinating dies, Triangle Trees stamps and coordinating die, and the Triangles background die.

To start I diecut the Triangles background from cashmere cardstock using a Gemini Jr., then added thin strips and small foam dots to the back of it. I adhered a block of rose gold paper to the front of a top folding A2 white card base, then layered the Triangle background to the top of it.

Next I stamped the gnomes & pine tree to a white cardstock block in onyx black versafine ink. Then I stamped & heat embossed the triangle trees in rose gold to white cardstock as well. Finally, I stamped & heat embossed the sentiment in rose gold to a strip of vellum. That took care of all my stamping, and I was able to put my MISTI away. Then I colored in the gnomes & pine tree with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I used the following colors:

Tree: yellow green, pale green, blender
Female gnome: pale rose, sugared almond pink, pale pink, blush, natural beige, beige, light brown, ochre
Male gnome: turquoise green, light blue, yellow, blush, warm grey 2

Once the coloring was set, I cut out all of the items with their coordinating diecuts. Then I adhered them to the bottom of the card using glue dots and foam tape. Finally, I added the velum sentiment strip to the upper left corner.

The final step was accent the card here & there with my signature jewels, then covering the gnomes & pine tree with my Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen.

For my next card I did a colorful and super patterned Halloween card! Originally I was going to turn this into a shaker card, but it felt like too much as the card started coming together. So I left the shaker part out, but kept all the added dimension! For this card I used the Boo Yea stamp set, Bag & Tags Creator dies, Abundant Autumn 6x6 papers and the Criss Cross Cover Panel die.

To start, I diecut the Criss Cross panel from white, yellow & orange cardstock. I added 2.5 inch ScorTape to the back of the white block, then inlaid the orange & white x's into it. Once finished, I adhered the Criss Cross panel to a top-folding A2 white card base.

Next I diecut the circles 6 times from a block of orange patterned paper, and added two layers of thin foam strips to the back. I layered the patterned paper block to the front of the card, then glued down three of the striped circles into the holes as shown above.

Then I diecut the tag, and stamped the Boo Yea! sentiment to it. I diecut the tag first, because their isn't an outline on this die to see where to place it. I placed the tag back into it's diecut slot, and added a little bit of washi tape to the back. This way my MISTI wouldn't move the tag when stamping with this particular sentiment.

I adhered the tag with a knot of gold thread over top of the bottom right circle using foam dots. Then I accented with my signature jewels tucked here & there!

That is everything I have for you today! If you've missed any of my Countdown to Confetti posts, feel free to check them out here. As I mentioned, today is the Release Blog Hop, and here is the link list I promised you!

Whoa! That is quite a list, and what FUN it's going to be to hop along and see everyone's beautiful creations! Before you move along with your day, I wanted to invite you to follow me on social media. I hang out on Instagram a lot, and share my work in progress in my stories...along with REALLY cute photos of my dogs! :) Plus, I just started my YouTube channel, and while there are only a handful of videos right now...I will be adding new content consistently now that I've gotten the video process all set up on my new laptop.

Have a wonderful rest of your Saturday!
