Countown to Confetti - Frightening Friends

September 5, 2018

Happy Wednesday, blog friends! This is a busy week, and this is my first post of the day! I am happy to announce that I am a 'Fetti Friend this month, and today we are sharing the first peeks at Reverse Confetti's new release!

I am showcasing a new stamp set called Frightening friends, that also has coordinating dies. It is SUPER cute, which is perfect for me because I don't love scary Halloween items. I created a sweet little scene, using the Frankenstein & Ghostie images (among others...)

To start, I ink blended the night sky to a block of heavyweight white cardstock, then splattered it with watered down white acrylic paint and gold paint. I set it aside to dry, then diecut the hill from heavyweight black cardstock.

Then I stamped all of the images to heavyweight white cardstock in onyx black Versafine ink, then colored them in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I used quite a few different colors, but I will link the 60 set below which I know includes all of the colors used today. Once I felt the coloring was set, I diecut each image with its coordinating die.

Then I mounted the ink blended background to the front of a top folding A2 card with foam adhesive. I stamped & heat embossed the sentiment to the bottom of the black hill in white, then adhered it to the bottom of the ink blended panel, popping just the top edge witih foam dots. I then embossed the stars (diecut from a non-RC die set in my stash - I will not be linking it below) & moon with Glow in the Dark embossing powder, and arranged them in the sky.

Finally I added the rest of the stamped & colored images to the front, using foam dots to five it some added dimension. The final step was to give the entire card some shimmer here & there with my Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen.

This is just a peek at the shimmer so you can see it better!

Isn't that the cutest Halloween stamp set ever?! It, along with all the other new items will be available for purchase in the Reverse Confetti shop on September 8th at midnight!
