Taylored Expressions - 10th Birthday Mega Party

September 5, 2018

Welcome to my second post of the day! Today I am also celebrating Taylored Expressions 10th birthday!!

We are having a HUGE party, full of designers who have worked with Taylored Expressions both past & present! There is a whole selection of newly released products today that you are going to just LOVE! Be sure to check them all out at the Taylored Expressions shop.

I have known Taylor for quite a long while, and have served on her Key Ingredients team, and on her blog team in the past. You can take a look at some of my past Taylored Expressions projects here...it definitely shows the journey of my cardmaking style!

Today I have used this cutie Dreamer stamp & die set that features some adorable unicorns, and whimsical sentiments! I also used Stitched Clouds Duo dies, and the Set the Scene - Cloud stencil strips to create my card for today's birthday party!

To start I ink blended the clouds to a heavyweight white cardstock block in Distress Oxide inks in the following colors: tattered rose, worn lipstick, shaded lilac, wilted violet, seedless preserves, blueprint sketch & picked raspberry. Then I used an ink blending tool to lightly add some glitter to the front with Delicata Golden Glitz ink. I mounted this ink blended block to the front of a top folding A2 card with foam adhesive.

Next I stamped the unicorns to white cardstock, and colored them in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I also used a little bit of gold paint on the unicorn horn and star. Once the coloring was set, I diecut them with their coordinating dies. I also diecut the clouds from white cardstock a few times.

I arranged the clouds and unicorns to the top of the card, popping some of them up with foam dots to give the scene some dimension. Then I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment to a white cardstock strip and cut a banner edge to it. I layered it to the card front with foam dots. I used an embossing powder from Wow Embossing called Royal Crush. It is really SO pretty, and matched my colors perfectly!

Finally, I accented the card with my signature iridescent jewels tucked here & there. And then I added a bunch of shimmer to the clouds and unicorns with my Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen.

This 10th Birthday Mega Party is an EPIC blog hop, so get all of the blog hop links that you need at the Taylored Expressions blog! I know I can't wait to grab a cup of coffee and check everything out!

Finally, I want to give you some information on the Share Joy campaign that Taylored Expressions does.

At the heart of Taylored Expressions is a mission to share joy through the gift of handmade cards. As part of their 10th birthday TE is continuing that mission with the launch of a special Share Joy campaign focused on providing birthday cards to those in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities across the U.S. To make as deep an impact as possible TE is inviting card makers everywhere to join the campaign. Will you join us? Find out how to participate by viewing their Share Joy page here: https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/share-joy-birthday-2018

We would love for you to be involved in this campaign if you feel so called!

Before you move along with your day, I wanted to invite you to follow me on social media. I hang out on Instagram a lot, and share my work in progress in my stories...along with REALLY cute photos of my dogs! :) Plus, I just started my YouTube channel, and while there are only a handful of videos right now...I will be adding new content consistently now that I've gotten the video process all set up on my new laptop.

Have a wonderful rest of your Wednesday, and happy Mega Birthday Party Hopping!
