Happy Sunday, friends! It's the month after August, and you know what that means...STAMPtember!! It's time to have a big party with a bunch of new products, and have a grand ole time stamping the month away! All of the new Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember products are available for purchase, and today I have a special promotion for you! Gotta love free Fall Leaves die set!
There are a TON of special promotions, so be sure to hit all the party stops and see what's available, not to mention all the amazing inspiration using the new STAMPtember products! Throughout STAMPtember they will be celebrating every day posting exclusive collaborations, contests, prizes, special promotions, announcements, and more surprises! Simon’s blog will announce what is planned every day.
Since we're having a big party, I decided to make a rainbow themed birthday card using the new Birthday Borders stamp set! I also used the Big Happy die from the last release that I haven't had a chance to create with yet!
To start, I stamped the outlined candle border, then the stamped sentiment directly below it to the front of a white cardstock block in onyx black Versafine ink. Then I proceeded to color in the candles with my Pinkfresh Studio liquid watercolors - I used every single color in the collection with the exception of licorice and espresso. They are all linked below at Simon Says Stamp for your shopping convenience - if you haven't picked these liquid watercolors up yet, I highly recommend them! They are vibrant, gorgeous, and SO easy to use!
Then I colored in the candle flames with Gansai Tambi Starry Colors gold paint. Once I painted them all, I gently flicked gold paint splatter to the front, trying to keep it mostly over the stamped section.
Then I cut the Big Happy die from gold glitter paper, and the outline die from vellum. I adhered them together, then added thin strips of foam tape to the back of it. I mounted the stamped panel to a black top-folding A2 card using foam adhesive, then popped the Happy diecut word right below the stamped sentiment.
To finish, I accented with my signature jewels tucked here & there! This card is easy peasy to create, and the super pigmented liquid watercolor helps make the colors pop!
That is the card I have for you today - I've got a few more items from the STAMPtember release to use this month, so be sure to check back all month long to see them in use! And keep up daily on Simon's Blog so you don't miss out on any fun this month!
Before you move along with your day, I wanted to invite you to follow me on social media. I hang out on Instagram a lot, and share my work in progress in my stories...along with REALLY cute photos of my dogs! :) Plus, I just started my YouTube channel, and while there are only a handful of videos right now...I will be adding new content consistently now that I've gotten the video process all set up on my new laptop.
Have a wonderful rest of your Sunday, and enjoy the entire STAMPtember Party!
