Brrr...Warm Wishes!!

October 24, 2011

Hey there, everyone!!  I hope that you had a wonderful rest of your weekend and a great start to your week!  There is definitely a chill in the air and the fall colors have settled in up here in Missoula.  The colors are beautiful, and I will be shooting some engagement sessions in them very soon (like- this week or it isn't going to happen! Tee hee!).  I also hope that the colors will last just a couple more weeks until my mom is home, because I want to get some family photos of us all together.  We shall see if that happens or not...the fall colors go QUICKLY in this area!

I know this is something that many don't want to hear, but winter is definitely on its way.  So, I decided to break out one of the winter collections from last year and create a lovely card all about this season!   I have created it for some challenges as well, and those will be listed at the bottom.  This card is actually fairly flat....it is rare that I create a card that can fit in an envelope!!  Tee hee!  Here is what I made:
"Brrr...Warm Wishes for a Happy Holiday Season" supplies:
Cardstock: Coredinations (blue) & Papertrey Ink (smooth white)
Paper/Chipboard: Bo Bunny (Midnight Frost 6x6 paper pad)
Stamps: WPlus9 (Winter Wishes & Christmas Wishes sets)
Ink: Clearsnap (Pigment: midnight, smoke blue)
Lace: craft supply
Jewels: Glitz Design
Corner Rounder: Creative Memories

Instructions:  Make card from blue cardstock, then round the bottom corners.  Cut white paper slightly smaller, then round the bottom corners.  Wrap lace around the middle, then adhere to the card front.  Cut a strip of white cardstock, then round the bottom corners.  Stamp the sentiment to it, then add the chipboard letters below.  Adhere to the card front, and then accent the corner with chipboard snowflakes.  Stamp the snowflakes to the top of the card, then add the bigger chipboard snowflake to the middle.  Accent with jewels to finish.

Well, that is everything I have to share with you today.  I hope that you have a wonderful rest of your day!! ♥♥♥

Until later,
~Lea L.

  3. You are so right, winter is coming all too soon, especially here in northern Michigan! But we need to embrace it as we do all other seasons (albeit with several layers of clothing between us and the embracing!) Very pretty, love the shimmer. Clever idea! Thanks for posting it for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge this week.
