ME Stamp Highlight: Today Was

March 19, 2013

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  How was your Monday?  Mine was great!  I went to Oula at noon, and then came home to get ready & eat.  My friend Meagan came over and we made cards together!  I worked on something I needed to do for Prima, and she created a card for her nephew's birthday and  for mother's day.  We had SO much fun...and we have decided that we need to do things like that more often.  I met with my friend Laurie for Bible study that evening, then Josh & I had a quiet evening at home with comforting potato soup & some TV.

Today we are highlighting the final March stamp set from Mama Elephant called "Today Was".  This stamp set is perfect for all you Project Lifers out there, but it also makes for some really special cards!  I combined it with Glitz's Uncharted Waters collection....and this is how it turned out!
 Instructions:
1. Make A2 card from oatmeal cardstock.
2. Cut scalloped paper slightly smaller, then adhere to the front.
3. Cut out the "Remember This" journal card, then stamp & heat emboss the border to it.
4. Add a paper strip & piece of anchor washi tape to the bottom of the card.
5. Layer the Layer the journal card to the front with a diecut ticket.
6. Fussy cut the banners from patterned paper, and layer to the journal card with bokeh washi tape.
7. Stamp the sentiment directly to the larger banner, then accent with enamel dots.
8. Stamp the accent strip to oatmeal cardstock, cut out and adhere with foam adhesive.
9. Tuck a circle sticker underneath the strip, then add an ombre location sticker to the front.
10. Tie a double bow from natural twine, then adhere to the front with a giant rhinestone.
