Today I am featuring the brand new Hi There Bear stamp & die set. I fell in love with this stamp set when I saw it. When I was pregnant with Layton, we had many, many ultrasounds checking on him. Layton rolled around like a little bear, evading the ultrasound technician as much as he possibly could. When he got big enough that I could feel him move, he kept me up most of the night rolling all over the place, and kicking me like crazy. Thus, he was nicknamed little bear, because if you have ever seen bear cubs you know that they roll all around with their brothers & sisters A LOT. Bears have always been my favorite animal, but I love them even more now.
Today I've created cards showcasing 3 different ways to use this adorable stamp set! Check them out!
My first card uses the Hi There Bear Stamp & Die bundle. I kept it in light, pastel colors - and the little bear is grey!! How cute is he?!!
I stamped the background to white cardstock, then cut it out & rounded each corner. After that I brushed it with a glue pad & covered it in prisma glitter. SO pretty!
I then stamped the bear & cotton candy to white cardstock as well. I cut them out with the matching dies, and also added glitter to the top of the cotton candy. Then I layered them together to the card front. I stamped the sentiment from the new Bits & Pieces stamp set (which will be featured later this month) to a banner, and popped it on the front with foam adhesive.
To finish, I tucked my signature jewels here & there to the card front.
On my next card I heat embossed the bear & balloon to a block of white Strathmore Bristol paper, and then watercolored with Zig Clean Color pens. Once dry, I colored the balloon with a clear Wink of Stella glitter pen to give it a little bit of shimmer!
To create the watercolor feel of the sentiment, I brushed the stamp with a Zig Clean Color pen in geranium red, and stamped it directly to the paper block. I LOVE how it turned out! Please note - this will stain your stamps considerably, and you will really want to clean it off well.
Once the front was dry, I layered it to a black A2 card, and accented with my signature jewels. These brown jewels have been in my stash for awhile, and are Doodlebug Design branded.
My final card uses that gold & kraft color palette that I've been loving lately! I also used the previously released Ornamental stamp set, and Blooms fill-in dies to create the Christmas sentiment! Seriously....golden bears are adorable!!
The cute little mistletoe he is holding doesn't have a matching die, but fussy cutting it was super easy!
I wrapped the sentiment tag around the top of the card with some older gold twine that I had in my stash, and topped it with a really pretty pearl accent! I did the same thing on my card during my crafty comeback party, and I loved it so much that I recreated it with the adorable Hi There Bear!
That is what I have for you today! Be sure to head on over to today's Concord & 9th Feature Friday blog post to see what the other amazing guest designers created using Hi There Bear! It is such a treat, and I LOVE seeing how designers use stamp sets so differently!
