Today I'm featuring SugarPea Designs!! They are new to me, and their items are SO cute!! I fell in love with all the campy/outdoor themed items that they released recently. Layton's nursery was mountain/woodland animal themed, and we {when I say we, I technically mean Josh} had painted snow capped mountains on one of the walls. So, I have a very soft spot for anything mountain related.
Wendy sent me some of the items from that release, and I created an adorable campy birthday card! Check it out!
Once I put together the Lantern SugarCut from grey cardstocks, I brushed the lighter parts with a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen (SSS | EH). It looks SO pretty, and added a nice touch to a simple card!
How ADORABLE is that tiny little tent & fire?! They are from the Camping Icon SugarCuts set - I know I will use these over & over again!
I kept the card design super simple, and let the diecuts take center stage! The background paper is from SugarPea Designs! It is called "Happy Camper" and each sheet is A2 card size!
To create the colored stripes, I just cut very thin strips of matching cardstock, and layered together. The brown strip actually sits on top of the other three so the stip wouldn't be as thick.
The enamel dots & orange jewel are just older items I have in my stash. The jewel is from Doodlebug Design & the enamel dots are from My Mind's Eye.
I hope you like my campy little lantern card today! I think it turned out so cute! I have so many more great ideas for this adorable set of products, and I know I will be using them in the very near future!

ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet scene you've create - and entirely encapsulated in the lantern, which adds to the impact! We can see the mountains from our house; majestic and gorgeous, especially when snow-capped. Thank you you for smiles today - and for the summer images which are much appreciated as we're under a heavy snowfall warning! It's a balmy -14C here...with windchill, it's -23C. Brrrrrr!
