Crafty Comeback Party - Day 20 - Jillibean Soup + Giveaway

Happy Friday!  Are you ready for the weekend?  I definitely am - we aren't supposed to have the greatest weather, so it will be a hang out at home & stay cozy kind of weekend {my favorite!}.

Today's post is all about Jillibean Soup!!  They have always had some of the CUTEST paper collections, and really fun embellishments!  They also have stamp & die sets, and really fun shaker shapes!

Today I am using a paper collection that just speaks to my heart.....because it is rainbow colored!  I created these cards using the new Shades of Color collection...check them out!

For my first card I used the Butterfly Shaker and filled it with the some of the Birthday Shaker Filler!  Now, they do have matching cards with a butterfly cutout that make for super easy use of the shaker element.  But I wanted a bright white, so I just traced the butterfly and cut it out from my white cardstock!

I thought that the butterfly needed some antennas, so I poked two pins into the top to create them, and then added a blow over top!  Cute!!

Jillibean Soup's Shaker Shapes make it really easy to create a shaker card!  You don't even need foam tape & a transparency if you add a peek-a-boo paper underneath the shaker element, because it has adhesive along the back of it to stick directly to that paper!

I then used stickers & diecuts from the Shades of Color collection to create my sentiment.  Once it was placed how I wanted, I stitched through some of the words in gold thread with my sewing machine.  You don't have to do this step, but I like the added detail that it gave!

For my next card I just layered some of the amazing papers & stickers from this amazing paper collection!

How CUTE is that rainbow?  This comes from the 12x12 sheet of 3x4 cards.  There are so many cards on this sheet that would make GREAT card sentiments!

 All of the layers are popped with thin foam tape so that the card would have great dimension!  To finish, I just accented both cards with some pretty jewels that I have in my stash.  As I've said in the past - mix your old in with the new so that it gets used & has a fresh feel!
