Happy Friday, blog friends! Sorry it has been a little quiet on my blog this week - I've been busy with some Pinkfresh Studio tasks that haven't allowed a lot of time to create cards just because! There is lots to share with you in the future!
This is my final post as a 'Fetti Friend, but I know I will be using all of the great products that I received for the rest of this season!I have created this card set for their October Stock Your Stash Challenge, which has a Friendship/Thanksgiving theme. I've created with both sentiments in mind for my card today!
I didn't have time to film/edit a video for this card set, but if I'm being real with you...it is basically the same concept as last month's Reverse Confetti video - just different colors, and some added products. I like using techniques over & over again, because you tend to get better at them as you do them...plus the result is always different!
Happy Sunday, blog friends! I am currently sitting in the airport, waiting for my flight to board for Phoenix. And since I have quite a bit of time, I thought I would blog these super simple Christmas cards that I made this weekend. It also happens that this stamp set is part of this weekend's promo - I know there isn't much time left, but thought I would let you know in case you wanted to grab it at some savings. The code is valid through 11:59pm CST tonight!
These cards are super simple, and I did this 1 minute video for Pinkfresh's Instagram account - this is not on my YouTube channel. Because it's so short, I'm just loading up the video right here on my blog! {I would suggest clicking on the button to make it full screen, as it is quite small in the blog post.}
Happy Friday, blog friends! Are you ready for the weekend?! I certainly am! We are going to Florence + the Machine concert on Saturday evening, which I am SO excited for. And then I leave for Arizona on Sunday afternoon for a very quick trip - I am doing something for Pinkfresh Studio that I will share at a later date. I am a bit nervous about it, but totally excited too!
A few weeks ago I was asked if I would like to try some cardstock that is new to me, and do an "Influencer" campaign for a company called Cut Cardstock. I don't really know if I am an influencer, but I do like to share what I love. Before saying yes, I looked around their website, and checked things out. I was particularly touched by their video in the About Us section of their website. It is a true testiment of a business that started small and has organically grown in size...but you still know that every single sale truly impacts this family run business and all of its employees. Plus, they are really knowledgeable about cardstock.
You may not know this about me, but I am super picky about cardstock, and a bit of a "snob" when it comes it. I think this stems from the professional photographer in me - I am really super picky about everything I offer as a wedding photographer. I only offer the highest quality fine art papers for my prints, albums & cards...which I think spills over into the cardmaker in me. I was super excited about everything in their Heavyweight Cardstock selection, not to mention the Stardream Metallic selection, and the Glitter selection.
Happy Thursday, friends! I hope you are having an awesome week so far! Well, I was able to create another set of cards "just because" this week! And they also fit with the current Lawn Fanatics challenge to use bling! {Honestly - when do I NOT use bling?! Lol!}
I diecut all the pieces about a week ago when I had a small moment of time, and then had about an hour yesterday in my schedule. I should have done some cleaning...but it was WAY more fun to put these two cards together. I know I'm not the only one with a super busy schedule, so do you do this too?
I did a similar set of cards last year for my Crafty Comeback Party post with Lawn Fawn. I knew I wanted to revisit these items, and this time I wanted to keep everything bright white! Last year I inked the papers with Antique Linen distress ink, and while beautiful...I've found that I prefer bright white. Check them out!
Happy Wednesday, friends! Today I have this soft & pretty card to share with you using a combination of Pinkfresh Studio stamps & dies, plus our liquid watercolor. I created this card for an education event called Inktoberfest 2018, hosted at The Hedgehog Hollow. Be sure to check out the entire month, as there has been a ton to learn about different inks, markers & more!
For my card today, I've created the background with our Lined Floral Background stamp set, some heat embossing & our liquid watercolor. The sentiment was created from the Folk Mandala coordinating dies, and the Pretty Paisley stamp set.
Happy Monday, blog friends! This weekend I was able to create a card "just because", which is rare for me these days. Now - I don't resent that at all. I LOVE what I do, and I just count it extra when I get a moment to play with whatever I want! Recently I purchased a couple items from the Concord & 9th holiday release, and I've been dying to use them. I don't get a chance to play along with challenges very often either, but I noticed that the current Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge is all about Layers this month...and we know that is RIGHT up my alley. Lol!
I didn't create a video for this card...mostly because the battery was dead on my GoPro. Lol - but it was nice to just be able to stamp & diecut without having to worry where everything was placed, etc. So of course, I will do a little write-up for you. I am using the newer Merry & Bright diecut, combined with one of my older but VERY favorite C9 stamp sets called Blooms Fill-In. I adore combining florals & Christmas, and of course, non-traditional color palettes. This one does use red & green in it, but I've also added navy, pinks & peach.
Happy Friday, blog friends! It's always a happy day when we are celebrating a brand new release from Simon Says stamp, right?! Their latest collection called Fun & Festive went live this week...and it is such a FUN collection of products! Simon is doing a free Stickles gift with purchase promotion - just use the code FEST587 upon checkout to take advantage while supplies! The code will expire on Sunday, 10/14 at 11:59 pm ET.
This is day 2 of the Fun & Festive Blog Hop, and we've got quite the lineup for you! I will put all of the blog hop details at the end of my post, but how about we get to my cards first? I used the new Outline Snowflake stamp set, along with the Tiny Words Christmas stamp set. I LOVE tiny sentiments, and this set has about 45 sentiments. I counted them - it's a lot!
Happy Tuesday, friends! While I do have a project to share with you, and a pretty amazing GIVEAWAY for you...I wanted to reflect a little bit. This time last year my Crafty Comeback Party had just started off, and I was getting back to this little part of my world that I once loved so fiercely. Almost 30 different companies welcomed me back with opened arms, many that didn't really even know me before Ellie & Layton...and helped make my comeback party a success. I still couldn't be more grateful.
So much has happened in the past year of my life. You've given me a safe place to honor and remember Ellie & Layton, bringing them along on this new creative adventure with me. I landed a full-time job in the paper crafting industry at Pinkfresh Studio, which is literally my dream job, and one that never in a million years did I think would ever be an option. If you haven't done the October Release blog hop that just went live yesterday, you definitely should. We are super excited about this release, and all the projects on the hop are super inspiring. {Plus - there are a TON of giveaways. It's worth your time!}
You came alongside me, and my dream of providing the NICU where Layton spent all of his days with (50) $50 Starbucks giftcards for parents with little ones a lot like Layton. A goal that started out at $2500, with your generosity & support became almost $12,000... and I was also able to provide them with $5000 in gas cards, and $5000 in hotel stays on top of the Starbucks gift cards. I can never repay the gift of helping me keep the memory of my kids alive...I am just so thankful.
Happy Monday, friends! I'm super excited because today is the Pinkfresh Studio October Release blog hop! We've been hard at work behind the scenes, and are over the moon for this release! It is one of our best yet!
I've got SO much to share with you in this post! We have an amazing blog hop line-up full of so much talent, it makes me smile! We've got GIVEAWAYS, 2 fantastic shopping promos and so much more! But first - for your shopping convenience, here is a full link list of all our new products or you can see them all HERE:
I will get to all the amazing things I mentioned at the end of my post, but how about we get to my cards first? I am sharing cards using the new Geo Star 1 and Geo Star 2 background dies, and all the new word dies as well! I've painted rainbow gradients using Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolor, which makes it SO easy!
Hi there again, friends, and welcome to my second post of the day. I am hosting the 3pm challenge for Winnie & Walter's WCMD celebration!
You can get the full details on all of today's festivities HERE, including all the different giveaway info! There is a ton of inspiration, and a LOT of great prizes to be won...so you are definitely going to want to play along!
My challenge for you is a simple one...to add ink blending somewhere on your card! For my card, I blended distress oxide inks to create the sky that is behind my cute crittery scene. I'm using the Season's Tweetings stamps & dies, which released when I took my hiatus, so I never had a chance to use them. Truthfully - it is better that I am using them now, because I at least kind-of know how to color now! Lol!
Happy World Cardmaking Day, friends! I hope that you get to spend some crafty time today making cards, and using all your stamping & scrapbooking supplies. I get to be part of a very special blog hop today that I am super excited about!
Today at Pinkfresh Studio, we’ve chosen to reveal a very special stamp & die set called, Share Cheer, that is available for purchase now! Happy Friday, blog friends! It has been quiet around here, because I have been prepping for quite a few events, but this is going to be a happening place for the next few days! Up first, today I am so excited to be participating in The Stamp Market's Holiday Release Blog Hop! I will add the full link list at the bottom of my post, but how about we get to my projects first.
I've created two different projects today, but let's first start with these adorable treat boxes using the Scalloped Gift Box die and No Peeking stamps & die set.
