The Stamp Market Holiday Release Blog Hop

Happy Friday, blog friends! It has been quiet around here, because I have been prepping for quite a few events, but this is going to be a happening place for the next few days! Up first, today I am so excited to be participating in The Stamp Market's Holiday Release Blog Hop! I will add the full link list at the bottom of my post, but how about we get to my projects first.

I've created two different projects today, but let's first start with these adorable treat boxes using the Scalloped Gift Box die and No Peeking stamps & die set.

I know that not everyone loves to watch process videos, so I will still continue to do write-ups for projects too. To start I diecut the scalloped gift box die two times from each Christmas themed patterned papers. These papers are an older collection from Webster's Pages called Gingerbread Village, which I doubt is available any longer. But this will work with any papers you have in your crafting stash, and there are a ton of adorable new Christmas collections out right now! Once all the pieces were diecut, I adhered them together with Scor Tape.

Next I diecut the bow three times from different glitter papers, then adhered them together with Scor Tape as well. Quick tip: to help round out the bow curves after assembly, put a pencil or pen into it and re-shape them.

Next I stamped & diecut the images from the No Peeking stamp set using Catherine Pooler inks in the following colors: It's A Girl, Tutti Fruiti & Mint To Be. I always use my MISTI with these inks as I never feel like I get a good impression the first time, so it is nice to be able to stamp 2-3 times.

With all the stamping, diecutting & assembling finished, it was time to put the treat boxes together. I filled a treat bag with 8-9 Snickerdoodle cookies {I used this Snickerdoodle recipe, and they are AMAZING. Even my husband liked them.} Then I tied them shut with some baker's twine and the tags I created from some patterened papers & the stamped images. And finally I added the glitter bows to each tag to finish.

Up next is a card using the new Floral Bouquet & Merriest Greetings stamp sets. The florals in this set are BEAUTIFUL, and they can be used for any time of year....not just Christmas!

To start, I stamped & heat embossed the grouped floral image & sentiment to a block of Arches watercolor paper in Brutus Monroe Gilded embossing powder. Arches paper is quite expensive, and being 9x12...I always have little pieces left. I don't like to waste papers, especially ones that are expensive, so I also stamped & heat embossed some of the smaller floral & leaf images to the leftover piece of Arches paper.

Next I colored the floral & leaf images using my Pinkfresh Studio liquid watercolor in the following colors: Bubblegum & Emerald City. I love that because these watercolors are so highly pigmented, that you can achieve different shades with just one color. Then I added a few splatters with the leftover watered down paints just by flicking them to the front with my watercolor brush. I wanted them to stay faint, so I picked the excess up with a paper towel immediately to keep the colors soft.

Next I mounted the watercolor block to the front of a Bazzill pink cardbase with foam adhesive. Then I fussy cut the extra florals & leaves, and added them to the front of the card for some added dimension to the card. Then I covered the edges of the cardbase, and flicked gold paint splatters to the front.

Once the splatters were dry, I accented the card with some sequins and flat-backed jewels by Lucy's Sequins. And the finishing touch was adding some shimmer to the florals & leaves with my Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen.
