Lawn Fawn - Thanksgiving Shimmer

October 18, 2018

Happy Thursday, friends! I hope you are having an awesome week so far! Well, I was able to create another set of cards "just because" this week! And they also fit with the current Lawn Fanatics challenge to use bling! {Honestly - when do I NOT use bling?! Lol!}

I diecut all the pieces about a week ago when I had a small moment of time, and then had about an hour yesterday in my schedule. I should have done some cleaning...but it was WAY more fun to put these two cards together. I know I'm not the only one with a super busy schedule, so do you do this too?

I did a similar set of cards last year for my Crafty Comeback Party post with Lawn Fawn. I knew I wanted to revisit these items, and this time I wanted to keep everything bright white! Last year I inked the papers with Antique Linen distress ink, and while beautiful...I've found that I prefer bright white. Check them out!

As I mentioned above, the first thing I did was diecut all of the pieces from glitter paper, patterned paper and white cardstock. Next I stamped the sentiments - one to a diecut banner & the other to white cardstock which I then trimmed into a thin strip.

Next I created (2) A2 cards, one from Blueberry Sour & the other from Robin's Egg (these are both from the Bazzill Basics Card Shoppe collection).  Then I mounted the embossed woodgrain panels to the front of each card with a full block of foam adhesive.

Then I started arranging all the diecuts to the front of each card. I started with the circle wreath card, then added all the leftovers to the second one. I had diecut all the tiny dots to act as berries, but I ended up not loving them as that option. I wasn't completely sure what to do with them, and a couple dropped onto that second card as I was grabbing them to put to the side. It gave me the idea to add them as polka dots to that second card...and I think it turned out so whimsical & fun! When I showed the cards to Josh, I laughed & said I gave the card glitter pox. He rolled his eyes, but totally laughed...friends, I've still got it! Lol.

Here is a look at the two cards separately.

The final step to creating these cards was arranging the sentiments to the front, then accenting with my signature jewels tucked here & there!

That is all I have for you today, my friends! Before you move along with your day, I wanted to invite you to follow me on social media. I hang out on Instagram a lot, and share my work in progress in my stories...along with REALLY cute photos of my dogs! :) And of course, I would love for you to subscribe to my YouTube Channel.

Have a wonderful rest of your Thursday!
