Happy Sunday, blog friends! I am currently sitting in the airport, waiting for my flight to board for Phoenix. And since I have quite a bit of time, I thought I would blog these super simple Christmas cards that I made this weekend. It also happens that this stamp set is part of this weekend's promo - I know there isn't much time left, but thought I would let you know in case you wanted to grab it at some savings. The code is valid through 11:59pm CST tonight!
These cards are super simple, and I did this 1 minute video for Pinkfresh's Instagram account - this is not on my YouTube channel. Because it's so short, I'm just loading up the video right here on my blog! {I would suggest clicking on the button to make it full screen, as it is quite small in the blog post.}
Here is also a write-up on how I created this cute card set. First I stamped the relaxing Santa to the lower right corner of 3 white cardstock panels that are slightly smaller than A2 in size. Then I stamped a different sentiment from the same stamp set to each one.
I adhered a full block of foam adhesive to the back of each stamped block, then added black paint splatters to each one with Pinkfresh Studio licorice liquid watercolor. Then I set them aside to dry.
Once dry, I mounted each stamped panel to the front of an A2 card base in the following colors: Licorice & Wax Lips (from the Bazzill Basics card shoppe collection) and Kraft (from WPlus9). Finally, I accented each one with a trio of gems in iridescent clear, red & black.
The Simple Joy stamp set is SO cute, and has such great sentiments! These cards could easily be created in bulk for your yearly Christmas cards, and you could change up the colors as well to suit your style!
That is all I have for you today, my friends! Before you move along with your day, I wanted to invite you to follow me on social media. I hang out on Instagram a lot, and share my work in progress in my stories...along with REALLY cute photos of my dogs! :) And of course, I would love for you to subscribe to my YouTube Channel.
I hope that you have a great Friday & start to your weekend!
