Hey there, everyone!! This post is going to be short and sweet, because I am in Texas with limited internet access. I will update with supply lists & instructions when I get home...but I had to at least share this card with you!
I was invited to be the guest designer for The Shabby Tea Room this month, and I have my first card for April to share with you for challenge #160! I used Glitz "Uncharted Waters" mixed with some beautiful Prima flowers to create this lovely beach themed love card! {Imagine that...another love card....ha!!} Here is what I created:
I love how well this paper line mixed with the flowers & trim...and all the sequins!! I hope that you enjoyed my card, and once again...I do apologize for the shortness of my post, and I will update it with the rest of the information later. But, while on vacation in Texas....it's just not happening!
I hope that you have a wonderful rest of the day!
Until later,
~L.

Happy Thursday, everyone! Sorry my blog has been so sparse lately...I head out to Texas bright and early this morning, and I've been getting ready to go. There will only be a few posts on my blog while I am gone, but will get back into the swing of things when I get home!
Today we have our monthly Glitz Design blog hop, and this month we are featuring Uncharted Waters!! This collection has gorgeous colors, a fabulous nautical theme, but can be used for much more than just the beach and sea!
I created a cute little love card awhile back using this collection, and never featured it on my blog. So, I thought I would share it with you today! I love how this one turned out-
I don't have a giveaway this time around on my blog, but we are giving the Uncharted Waters collection to one lucky commenter! The winner will be picked randomly from all of the designer blogs & the Glitz blog...so be sure to comment on each one for a higher chance at winning!! But please, only one comment per blog!

Happy Thursday, all! How have the past couple of days been! It feels like it has been CRAZY here...even though it has mostly just been crazy for Josh. The BBY is making some changes, and he has spent the past 24 hours pretty much on the phone. Ha!! He also has to be in Portland when we are supposed to be flying out for Texas...so we've had to get THAT figured out too. We pretty much have it all taken care of now, so that is a good thing! Tonight we are going to watch the Griz play Syracuse in the big dance...hopefully they will have a Cinderella moment!!
I have a fun and easy friendship card to share with you tonight! It features some of the new Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection {which I LOVE!!} and an adorable Lawn Fawn stamp that matches perfectly!! I put this card together in less than 10 minutes. Oh yes- I did!! With stitching and all...I was pretty proud of myself! Here is what I created:
Instructions:
1. Make A2 card from kraft cardstock.
2. Layer circle sticker, green paper block and scalloped papers trip to the card front.
3. Wrap twine around the top seam.
4. Stitch along the bottom of an ombre tag, then layer to the front with a chipboard circle.
5. Stamp the sentiment bubble to white cardstock, adhere to chipboard circle, then accent with a heart.
6. Tie a double bow from twine, add a wooden button to the center and adhere to the tag top.
7. Add a diecut arrow to the bottom of the card, then accent with sequins & a pearl to finish.
Challenges:
-Moxie Fab World Card Creations Week challenge - Ombre
-10 Minute Craft Dash #14 - Colors (9 min, 52 seconds)
-Charisma Cardz #11 - Diecuts
-Lawnscapings #54 - Stitching
Nicole Rixon, the owner of Sweet Stamp Shop, had mentioned on Facebook how she got this big package of sequins...and these colors were in it! I was coveting them like crazy, so I headed out and picked up the same pack so I could have some too. I love them...and I LOVE this card! This Dear Lizzy collection is a fantastic one!!
Well, that is all I have for you tonight! If you are watching basketball and aren't a Syracuse fan...give a little GO GRIZ shout out! Tee hee!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! How was your Monday? Mine was great! I went to Oula at noon, and then came home to get ready & eat. My friend Meagan came over and we made cards together! I worked on something I needed to do for Prima, and she created a card for her nephew's birthday and for mother's day. We had SO much fun...and we have decided that we need to do things like that more often. I met with my friend Laurie for Bible study that evening, then Josh & I had a quiet evening at home with comforting potato soup & some TV.
Today we are highlighting the final March stamp set from Mama Elephant called "Today Was". This stamp set is perfect for all you Project Lifers out there, but it also makes for some really special cards! I combined it with Glitz's Uncharted Waters collection....and this is how it turned out!

3. Cut out the "Remember This" journal card, then stamp & heat emboss the border to it.

5. Layer the Layer the journal card to the front with a diecut ticket.
6. Fussy cut the banners from patterned paper, and layer to the journal card with bokeh washi tape.

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you are having a great start to your week! How was your Sunday? Happy Saturday, everyone!! How was your Friday? I had a great day with my friend Alex. It was her birthday, so we went to lunch together at Cafe Dolce, and then later on that evening we went out with a bunch of friends to Sushi Hana, then on to the Top Hat for some bluegrass music. It was a great evening out together!! Today I have a 3-hour wedding shoot....my first one of the season! It's kind-of nice that my first wedding is just a very short one, versus jumping right into a 10 hour day.
Today we are showcasing a brand new Mama Elephant stamp set called "Lovely Mums". This beautiful stamp set that is floral, with really wonderful sentiments. As a card maker who is more product oriented, I focused on the sentiments this time around and combined them with some amazing Heidi Swapp product. Here is what I created!
Instructions:
1. Make a 4x6 inch card from vintage cream cardstock.
2. Cut background paper slightly smaller, and adhere to the front.
3. Cut a floral strip, and adhere to the top.
4. Add a yellow tag to the right side, then stamp & add thickers to the bottom of it for the sentiment.
5. Take apart the dimensional border sticker, and stamp the sentiments to the top label.
6. Put back together, and adhere across the middle of the card.
7. Add another dimensional banner to the upper left corner, then accent with jewels to finish.
Challenges:
-A Blog Named Hero #22 - Freestyle
-Aud Sentiments - Girly
-Desert Islands Crafts #50 - Pick 3 (yellow, 3+ papers, sentiment on front)
-Divas by Design #85 - Pink
-Fab N Funky #162 - Add a Sentiment
-By The Cute and Girly March - Favorite Things
-Word Art Wednesday #71 - Anything Goes
I am just loving these fun Heidi Swapp products! I love how the brand new border sticker has helped me freshen up the older Sugar Chic 6x6 paper pad...love it!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant March Stampede! Our February release is now live and available for purchase in the store HERE.
To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is giving away 3 gift certificates worth $20.00 each to 3 lucky people! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. Winners will be announced on the blog on Monday, March 18th, and will have 48 hours to claim their prize.
I used the new stamp sets "Hello" & "Papa Love", along with the older stamp set "On Target". I combined them with some Studio Calico, Maya Road & 7Gypsies....and what came of it is this eclectic masculine card! While this card could definitely be used for Father's Day, I created it more as a "just because" for whoever might be the favorite guy in your life! Check it out!
Instructions:
1. Make a 5-inch square card from white cardstock.
2. Adhere a block of brown dotted paper at an angle to the card front, then trim off the excess.
3. Stamp and heat emboss the arrows to the bottom of the card, then accent with jewels.
4. Cut a strip of calender printed paper, then layer to the front with a postal tag & ticket.
5. Add a camera shaped clip to the end the calendar paper, then accent the middle with a jewel.
6. Add the library card to the front, then stamp the first part of the sentiment to it.
7. Stamp the speech bubble sentiment to a tag, then adhere to the card front with a strip of washi tape.
8. Layer a canvas tag & wood veneer speech bubble to the left side of the card.
9. Accent with sequins & pearls as shown to finish.

I hope you like my eclectic guy card today! I often don't feel like I create masculine themed cards very well, but I do like how this one turned out. I like all the fun layers of random items that I just pulled and placed here & there.

Hey there, everyone!! How has your week been so far? Mine has been really good! Editing & dropping of photos to clients, making cards, great Bible study time...and amazing bangers & mash that Josh made tonight for our community group. It was SO yum! I got my iPhone back, and am just glad to have it back. I missed it terribly the few days I was without it...my life is back to being complete. Tee hee!
Tonight I have a pretty Easter card to share with you, that is FULL of Prima! I won a challenge awhile back, and so I was asked to be a guest designer for Inspired By Stamping this week....in which we were given three colors to create a card. The colors are light pink, light green & light blue....perfect for springtime & Easter. Here is what I created!
Instructions:
1. Make A2 card from white cardstock.
2. Cut light green dotted paper slightly smaller & adhere.
3. Add a piece of lace trim to the bottom of the card.
4. Cut a block of pink paper & a block of floral paper, then adhere together to the top of the card.
5. Stamp the sentiment the bottom of the floral paper, then accent with 2 rhinestones.
6. Layer floral stems, fabric flowers, paper flowers & wooden leaves to the left side of the card.
7. Add a paper butterfly to the top of the flowers, then accent with jewel flourishes.
8. Add a resin photo corner to the upper right corner to finish.
Challenges:
-Mojo Monday #284 - Sketch
-Ribbon Carousel #78 - Spring
-Inspired by Stamping #50 - Color Challenge
-Simon Says Stamp and Show - Shabby Chic
-The Shabby Tea Room #157 - Pink/Trim/Flowers
At first glance, it might seem like this card is a little complicated. But, when you get right down to it....the flowers are really just clustered together in one area, along with some other embellishments. I think the part that takes me the longest is picking the flowers that I am going to layer together in hopes that they will compliment each other well. The great thing about flowers is you can move them around, and make sure you like how they look before permanently adhering them down. If you want to try it, I suggest pulling out ALL of the flowers in your stash that are the colors you might want to use....and then just start playing with them and seeing if you like how they look. It is really a lot of fun!!
I hope that you liked my card tonight! I will be back later this week for the Mama Elephant March release week....I hope you will check back and join me!
Until later,

Happy Tuesday, all! I mentioned in my post yesterday that I was asked to be a guest designer this month...and today is my day to reveal who! I am guest designing for Sweet Stamp Shop this month, and the new stamp reveals start today!
Today is day one of the release, and I have a card using the new "Chalkboard Sign" stamp set! This is a super cute stamp set, with that perfect chalkboard feel to it. However....I didn't really use it in a chalkboard fashion this time around. :) I combined it with Glitz Design "Hello Friend" and some beautiful Prima flowers to create this:
Instructions:
1. Make A2 card from light orange cardstock.
2. Cut bokeh paper slightly smaller, then wrap two strips of crepe paper around the bottom of it.
3. Add a strip if paper garland above the crepe paper, then ahdere the entire block to the card front.
4. Stamp the sentiment to vellum, and heat set.
5. Adhere the vellum sentiment to the front, adding some foam adhesive to the upper right corner.
6. Randomly adhere sequins underneath the top of the vellum sentiment, then accent it with a jewel.
7. Add a large jewel to the popped right corner to cover the adhesive.
8. Arrange and adhere the flowers to the lower left corner as shown to finish.
Challenges:
-Sketch Saturday #249 - Sketch
-Totally Gorjuss #174 - For Mom
-Cupcake Craft #233 - Sentiment Focus
So, I got kind-of lucky because this crepe paper trim is actually from the same collection. One is a pre-CHA sample, and the other is a post-CHA product where the dye was perfected for the collection. While one is not completely correct, it allowed me to arrange the crepe paper to give me that ombre affect utilizing product, rather than stamping. And I just love how it turned out!! I hope that you do too!
There are so many amazing projects to be seen today, so be sure to head on over to the Sweet Stamp Shop Release Day 1 blog post, and check out what all the other amazing designers have in store for you as well! I believe there might just be a giveaway over there, too. ;)
Have a wonderful rest of your Tuesday!
Until later,
~L.
Happy Monday, everyone! I hope your day has gone well so far! I have worked on some cards, and after I write this blog post...I need to finish up editing some engagement photos that I took a couple weekends ago. Well, maybe after I have some dinner actually. :)
I have a gold & glittery St. Patrick's Day card to share with you today! You can't tell very well in the photo, but I dry embossed the background with the WPlus9 chevron embossing plate, and then layered to my heart's content with tons of fun papers & embellishments. I mixed three different stamp sets to get the look I was going for, and love how it turned out! Here is what I created!
Instructions:
1. Make A2 card from white cardstock, then dry emboss the front with a chevron impression plate.
2. Cut two strips of patterned paper, and layer together with a label diecut to the card front.
3. Cut a strip of kraft chevron paper, and adhere at an angle to the lower part of the card.
4. Cut a scalloped paper strip, and adhere straight across the kraft strip.
5. Wrap charcoal twine around the seam, then top with a matching double bow & rhinestone.
6. Stamp & heat emboss the gold speech bubble, then cut out.
7. Cut out the green pennant, stamp the sentiment to it and adhere to the speech bubble.
8. Stamp & diecut the shamrock circle, and adhere to the top of the speech bubble with foam adhesive.
9. Layer a circle month sticker & a note block to the front.
10. Add the speech bubble sentiment over top of them with foam adhesive.
11. Accent with sequins a gold photo corner, tab & a gold jewel to finish.
Challenges:
-The Twinery March Challenge - Green & Chevron
-Moxie Fab World Card Creations Week Challenge - Chevron
-JustRite Friday Challenge #92 - Foam Adhesive
-Lawnscapings Challenge #53 - Texture
So, what do you think of my St. Patty's Day card full of green, gold & chevron? I seriously love the flashes of gold here and there, mixed with the sequins & twine. Such a fun card....don't you think?! Ha! :)
Come on back over tomorrow when I share another guest design gig I have going on this month! I am showcasing a super cute stamp set that you are going to just love!! See you back here then!

....hey, what's up? Ha! Happy Saturday, friends!! hope this post finds you having a great start to your weekend! So- we got our taxes done yesterday, which was a plus! Nice to have it done...nice to know we are getting a good return...and then I got home and dropped my iPhone on my concrete garage floor and shattered the screen. Sigh. Thankfully I have geek squad protection on it from Best Buy, which means they order me another one for no additional charge (ie: no deductible) and there are no limits on how many times you break your phone. My phone won't be here until early next week...so in the meantime I am using a loaner phone that I hate. I know...I know...first world problems and all. I should be grateful that they provide me with a loaner phone...and we get reward zone points just for using it! Up side...up side...I have to keep telling myself that.
I have a trendy little card to share with you today! It's FULL of things that are trendy right now. Brand new Studio Calico...feathers...wood veneer...gold...sequins...speech bubbles...washi tape... I just love how it turned out! Here is what I created!
Instructions:
1. Make A2 card from white cardstock.
2. Cut doodled paper slightly smaller, round the right corners & adhere.
3. Cut a strip of hexagon paper, and adhere to the left side.
4. Diecut & stamp the doily shape, then adhere to the right of the hex paper strip, slightly tucked under the edge of it.
5. Layera tab sticker, fussy cut feather, circle sticker, and speech bubble block to the top of it.
6. Layer a glitter strip underneath a wood veneer speech bubble, and adhere to the top.
7. Add a strip of woodgrain washi to a vintage hand sticker, then add gold alphas as part of the sentiment.
8. Adhere to the front with foam adhesive.
9. Add a strip of washi tape to the bottom part of the card, and a gold photo corner to the top.
10. Accent with jewels & sequins to finish.
Challenges:
-Studio Calico Sunday Sketch
-Moxie Fab Card Creations Week Challenge - Speech Bubbles
-The Pink Elephant #189 - Photo Inspiration
-The Friday Mashup #100 - Pick Your Fave Challenge (#18 - glitter)
I hope that you enjoyed my glittery, trendy card today! I know it makes me happy when I look at it, so I hope it does the same for you. :)
How about I share some Bible study notes with you, since I haven't in awhile!
Romans 2:1-4
I can sum my thoughts up on these verses with one quote: "Don't judge me because I sin differently than you do." We all sin. What I struggle with is not what you struggle with...and a sin, is a sin, is a sin. Mother Teresa said, "if you judge people, you have no time to love them." Verse 2 tells us that God's judgement is sure, but also righteous & based in truth. Deflecting and pointing out what is wrong in others lives isn't going to keep me from God's judgement. Yet, God is kind & patient & loving...and He cherishes my repentant heart. We need only worry about our own sinful nature. We need to LOVE others, help them up when they fall, encourage them in Christ & try to be a light. We need to leave judgement where it belongs...in the hands of God.
I know it isn't the longest notes ever...but I think the verses really speak for themselves. I hope you enjoyed my thoughts, and I really hope that you have a super great Saturday!!
Until later,
~L.

Happy Thursday, everyone! Holy cow...it has been forever since I posted last! Sorry about that...sometimes I just run out of mojo, and the best thing for me to do...is to do other things. That is kind-of where I was after last week...so I have just taken a little bit of time off. I'm starting to feel inspired again, so I think my mojo slump is just about over. Yay!! Ha!
So, I'm easing back into card making with a CAS number, which was also for my last post as the guest designer for Precious Remembrance Shop, using the Thank You stamp set. I have so enjoyed my time getting to know this stamp set, and all of it’s amazing possibilities!!

Today I had to use the cute little word
search sentiment that is included on the set…it is one of my faves on
it! I kept my card very clean & simple so all the focus would
be placed on it! All that is required to create this card is a kraft
cardbase, some ink, some sequins/pearls/jewels & a little bit of
twine. Oh- and a corner rounder. Here is what I created!
Instructions:
1. Make A2 card from kraft cardstock, then round the lower right corner.
2. Stamp the word search image in the same corner, then accent with sequins & pearls.
3. Wrap brown twine around the top of the card.
4. Tie a double bow from matching twine, and adhere to the left side.
5. Add a brown rhinestone to the middle of the bow to finish.

Happy Friday, everyone!! Are you excited for the weekend?? I know that I am....although it should be a quiet one. Our friends, Grant & Meagan (WHO ARE EXPECTING!!!! I am SO 'CITED for them!!! Eeeek!!) are coming over for dinner tonight. We are slow cooking short ribs, and they are bringing sides & drinks...it is going to be delish!! I can't wait! Tomorrow Josh has to go to Butte with his geek squad agents for a really big job, so I think I am going to get up and go to Oula....then create the day away! We are leaving for Texas at the end of the month for 10 days, so I need to start getting everything done in advance for when I am gone. If I don't start now, I will probably never get it done in time. Ha!
There is still time to comment on my Glitz Design Color Me Happy Blog Hop post if you haven't already. I have a small prize for just my comments, and then of course...the chance to win the Color Me Happy collection from all of the comments on the blog hop.
We have a new challenge up for you at the Mama Elephant blog today, and this time around it is a sketch challenge!

We have a new challenge up for you at the Mama Elephant blog today, and this time around it is a sketch challenge!
Isn't it a fabulous little sketch with so many possibilities?!! I used the Smitten stamp set and paired it with some Elle's Studio "You and Me" collection...and yes, it is another love themed card. Told you- that is what I mostly create, it seems. If you think about it though...it makes sense. Love surrounds me most of the time...I am a photographer who focuses on weddings. So, I mostly shoot engagements & weddings, with the hope that I will become the couple's lifelong photographer as they make families & go along their lives. Love is a natural topic for me to cover....ha! Here is what I created!
Instructions:
1. Make A2 card from kraft cardstock.
2. Cut large journaling card slightly smaller, then adhere.
3. Wrap a doily around the top of the card.
4. Stamp a banner to white cardstock, then cut out.
5. Cut banner edges to the other tags, and layer all 3 to the top of the card.
6. Stamp the hand image to kraft cardstock, then diecut.
7. Layer together with another circle tag to the left side of the smaller banners.
8. Stamp the barcode image to the bottom of the card.
9. Accent the front with star sequins, jewels & pearls to finish.
Challenges:
-Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday - Chevron
-Delightful Challenges - Something in 3's

- Post the challenge graphics on your blog post
- Link back to this Mama Elephant blog post
- You may enter as many times as you wish
- Deadline to enter is March 14, 2013 at 12:00PM EST
There will be TWO winners who will receive TWO stamp sets from our upcoming April release. How awesome is that!! We can't wait to see what you create using the sketch and some Mama Elephant stamps or digital stamps!!
Do you want to see some spring clothing that I am basically coveting right now? I REALLY want them.
The top & pants are more feasible, because they actually have a 25% off discount going right now. But I just don't know if I can deal with spending almost $100 on a pair of flats. I might have to wait and see if they go on sale somewhere in the near future...here's hoping!!!
Well, that is everything I have to share with you today....I hope you enjoyed my sweet little love card!! Have a FAB Friday!!
Until later,
~L.
