Today is all about Little Things from Lucy's Cards! Lucy creates the most AMAZING sequin mixes...if you've never seen them, make SURE you go & check them all out! AND....you are going to get the chance to win some! Giveaway details will be at the end of the post, so be sure to keep scrolling!
My first card uses the Rainbow Bright Diamonds mix. I seriously LOVE the dimension that these have, and they are SO fun in a shaker card! Here is how I know that! ;)
Just one quick tip about creating this card - the diamonds are a bit thicker than sequins, so be sure to give them enough room inside the shaker part! Other than that, this card is super easy to recreate!
Guess what? It also fits my current WCMD Rainbow Color challenge for Winnie & Walter challenge! There is still time to create a project & enter to win a $50 store credit - and I would love for you to play along!!
I've recently rebranded my photography business, and I mainly shoot engagements/weddings. I've been refining my client experience a lot since moving to a new city & basically starting over, and one thing I've been trying to do is add a more personal touch here & there. I've created a wedding experience guide that I get printed for newly booked couples & send to them as a little gift. I've decided it needs a handmade touch, and I think an elegant shaker card is the perfect option!
For this card I've used the Gilded Peach mix, along with the Clear Iridescent Jewels mix that comes in the She's So Lovely multi-buy pack.
These colors fit my brand perfectly, and what a fun little gift to give my newly engaged couples!!
Shaker cards don't always have to be bright, primary colors & created for kids. They look amazing in sophisticated colors and with beautiful & intricate diecut openings as well! There are so many options, and I'm just happy that shaker cards are still a "thing". I hope they never go out of style! :)

ReplyDeleteLove your cards, shaker cards are my favorite
ReplyDeleteAside from shakers and just sprinkling on the front of cards, I like to stick them to double sided adhesive and put them behind a cut out like a die cut word so that they show behind. You can lay them out in just one color or put them in rainbow stripes, or colors that match the rest of the card. It takes a little time but it has a big pay off!!1
ReplyDeleteLea, what beautiful cards. I wanted to let you know that I read your story and I am so inspired by your strength and your passion. You are such a graceful example of strength.

I use sequins for accenting my cards and for shakers of course! I love adding them to my shabby and freestyle collage cards especially.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful CAS card, wonderful shaker. But I have some doubts whether the shaker can be considered a single-layer card ...? This does not change the fact that your card is stunning.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us on HLS CAS.
