The middle of the week is brought to you by none other than My Mind's Eye! I used to be a card designer for this company in the past, and I have always loved their paper collections! They have branched out into party goods & stationary, but they do still produce paper crafting collections as well!
Today I am taking a break from stamping & background techniques, and focusing on paper products & diecutting! I made a collection of gift boxes with a matching card using the Joyful paper collection. This paper collection has a modern feel to it, and is black, white & gold foil. I love the non-traditional color palette! Check them out!
I used the Tiny Gift Box die (SSS | EH) from Lawn Fawn to create this adorable little box. I thought about what I would use these for, and it came to me quickly! Every year I try to learn a new recipe at Christmas time...and on my list this year is champagne truffles. Wouldn't they package up PERFECTLY in these cute little boxes - not to mention the Joyful paper collection is ALSO a perfect fit for such a sophisticated piece of candy. I will let you know in December how the learning process goes!
I ended up diecutting more bows than boxes, so I created this matching card. I arranged the bows to look like a Christmas tree - I thought that was a cute touch!
I used the Gift Box die from Lawn Fawn (SSS | EH) to create the larger boxes, and then decorated them with different embellishments form the Joyful collection. These boxes would be perfect for giving a gift card, jewelry, notecards, & more!! It is definitely a good tool to have in your stash! It can be used over & over again for so many different occasions!
These were definitely so much fun to create, and didn't take a lot of time! Now I have multiple boxes that are ready to go once the hustle & bustle of the season is upon us.
Thank you My Mind's Eye for being part of my crafty comeback party! I had SO much fun creating this gift boxes, and I will be using more of your Christmas collections as the season continues!!

So gorgeous, your boxes and pretty ribbon tree card! The packaging: gifts in and of themselves! I'd be taking a very, very VERY long time to open gifts wrapped so beautifully, as a lot of oohing and ahhing, along with gazing and admiring, would take place beforehand! You've elevated this pretty collection into stunning!
