I've got two cards to share with you tonight! Both cards use the new stamp set, "Big Christmas", and then an assortment of dies. For my first card I created a galaxy background with watercolor, and then built a beautiful Christmas scene on top if it. I created the sky to match what I think it might have looked like the night that Jesus was born.
I adore the sentiments in this stamp set, and I think you will too! I foresee myself using these stamps MANY times before the holidays are over. :) The glitter paper is not included in my supply list...I purchased it in the specialty paper aisle of the scrapbook section at Michael's. Unfortunately....they don't put it on their website.
For my next card I focused on the Cover Up Die: Snowflakes, but used a different sentiment from the same stamp set as the first card. Isn't that chunky glitter paper make for an amazing background?! I gasped when I put the snowflake die over top of it....it was so beautiful!!
This cover up die is definitely a must have in your stash....there are so many possibilites!! Can you imagine a galaxy backround underneath it, or a beautifully blended distress ink background? Once again...I am sure this will grace my projects in the next few months to come! The bling snowflake that I used will not be on my supply list either...it is a REALLY old sticker from Basic Grey. I'm talking at lesat 4 years old. But hey- I don't get rid of bling items...I will always find a way to use them at some point. :)
Do you want a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to Lil' Inker Designs to put towards your purchase this month? {Seriously...who wouldn't?!} Then be sure to hop along to each of the designer's blogs & leave a comment. Thanks for checking out my cards tonight!! I hope that they inspired you! I also wanted to let you know that I have started my Lea Lawson Creates Facebook page in order to separate my personal Facebook profile from my crafting. This is a great way to follow my work on Facebook without having to personally be friends....I am paring my Facebook friends list down to just family & close friends in the next couple of months. If you want to keep in touch with me on Facebook, I would love for you to like my page, and then turn on the notifications!! (To do that just click on the drop-down menu in the same place you clicked the "Like" button first.) I will link up my blog posts, post images of all my projects, ask fun crafty questions so we can get to know each other better, etc. It is all part of wanting to be more intentional in all the avenues of my life, and I actually think this will help me get to know my crafting friends better. :)
I will be back tomorrow night with more projects using products from this latest release! Be sure to check back soon!
Until later,
~L.
