Today I have two more cards to share with you. I went with a pink & aqua theme this time around....which is the color of a large part of my Christmas decor. That's probably why I reached for it! {Side note: I am SO ready to decorate for Christmas....but I make myself wait until the day after Thanksgiving when everyone else is out shopping.} This first card uses the friendship sentiment from the Cozy Winter Wishes stamp set. I also stamped every single snowflake from the set on this card...check it out!
After doing all the stamping & letting it dry (they are mixed media inks, so they don't immediately set), I accented the snowflakes with beautiful jewels & flourishes. What friend wouldn't love to get this in the mail...it would certainly warm the heart during these colder months....don't you agree? :)
My next card features dies only. As much as I love stamping...scrapbooking product has always been my first love. Using dies is a great way to incorporate my scrap product into my cards even more than I already do. For this I made my own wood veneer card using this awesome wood paper from the My Mind's Eye "Necessities" collection. Check it out!
I don't use my lace trim & ribbon as much as I once did, and I am reminded of how beautiful it looks every time I break it out now. I need to use it more often...I just love the texture & coziness it adds!! I also couldn't wait to use the Baubled Christmas Tree die, and accent it with pretty jewels!! I'm trying to decide if I should have added more to it, or not. What do you think? Just a quick note....the pink & aqua jewels aren't linked below. They are from Doodlebug Design, but are older. I stocked up on them a few years ago because they are my favorite!! :)
Do you want a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to Lil' Inker Designs to put towards your purchase this month? {Seriously...who wouldn't?!} Then be sure to hop along to each of the designer's blogs & leave a comment. Thanks for checking out my cards tonight!! I hope that they inspired you! I also wanted to let you know that I have started my Lea Lawson Creates Facebook page in order to separate my personal Facebook profile from my crafting. This is a great way to follow my work on Facebook without having to personally be friends....I am paring my Facebook friends list down to just family & close friends in the next couple of months. If you want to keep in touch with me on Facebook, I would love for you to like my page, and then turn on the notifications!! (To do that just click on the drop-down menu in the same place you clicked the "Like" button first.) I will link up my blog posts, post images of all my projects, ask fun crafty questions so we can get to know each other better, etc. It is all part of wanting to be more intentional in all the avenues of my life, and I actually think this will help me get to know my crafting friends better. :)
I will be back tomorrow night with more projects using products from this latest release! Be sure to check back soon!
Until later,
~L.

Both cards are fabulous! I really love the first one with the pretty jeweled flourishes.
ReplyDeleteWow, what amazing cards!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Very pretty cards.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! So pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, beautiful blinged up snowflakes, looks gorgeous as well as your Christmas tree. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI cannot stand how much I love these cards, I just want to reach into my screen and grab them! First off, the simplicity of the snowflake stamping, combined with all that gemalicious bling is dreamy. I wonder if you can still get these little gems from Doodlebug? Going to google that. And I almost never buy larger gems...but now seeing your second card, I'm going to re-think that. No, I don't think you need more on that card. It's nice to have that natural beauty of the woodgrain CS and the softness of the pastel bow complimenting one another. GREAT job, I can't wait to use these ideas!
ReplyDeleteWOWOWOWOWOWOW!! Simply BEAUTIFUL!! I just LOVE these!! =) THANKS for sharing and have a Fabulous Week!! =)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, Lea, you are amazing. I love how you make combing bling, fibers, papers, etc look so effortless. I love both of these amazing cards!
ReplyDeleteThe cards are stunning. I love the bling on the first card. Blue is my favorite color to start with and then all of the glitter on the swirls added to it the beauty.
ReplyDeleteI love the Christmas tree. Great idea to cut it out and embellish individual circles.
